Soul Shake & The Eastside Horns

Soul Shake & The Eastside Horns is a 10-piece, 100% live band built to turn a wedding reception into a show. Five lead vocalists, a three-piece horn section and a powerhouse rhythm section give us the range to move from Motown and soul to funk, rock & roll and dance-floor favorites without losing the energy of a real live band. Based in Cleveland and performing throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond, we bring a big-stage sound, professional production and one goal to every reception: a packed dance floor and a celebration your guests remember.

This isn't background music with a few musicians in the corner. Soul Shake brings the energy and scale of a live concert to your reception: 10 musicians, five lead vocalists and three Eastside Horns, all performing 100% live. Multiple vocalists let us cover an unusually wide range of music while keeping the dance floor moving, and the horns give the arrangements an impact you can feel in the room. We can also provide MC services, music during breaks and ceremony sound, giving you one experienced team from the first announcement through the final song.

    Soul Shake & East Side Horns Review!

    Soul Shake & The Eastside Horns completely transformed our reception and made it one of the best nights of our lives. From our first conversation, they were easy to work with and genuinely cared about making our day special—they even took the time to learn our first dance song and helped us put together a tribute to my dad that was special. Their energy on stage was engaging and kept the dance floor packed all night long. The band's musicianship is outstanding, and they played with the kind of quality and passion that you can tell they love what they do. If their style of music fits your vision, we highly recommend booking them without hesitation.

    Get Shook with Soul Shake!

    If you're looking for a band that stands above all other Cleveland bands, Soul Shake is the one! I've been a fan from their start. It's been amazing to see how their following's grown as word has spread about their awesomeness! They are so incredibly talented, high energy and fun. They don't just sing and play, they entertain! They love the crowd and the crowd loves them. The dance floor is full all night long. They've got a fantastic selection which includes a lot of songs you don't hear other bands do. I've hired them to play for 4 private parties and everyone raves about them! Big songs, big talent and big fun! Can't recommend them enough!

    10-Piece Band That Brings the Party

    Soul Shake & The Eastside Horns are seriously one of the coolest bands around Cleveland. I catch them on both the east and west sides, and they always bring the perfect mix of fun and talent. They’re a 10-piece band with two awesome lead singers, a killer 3-piece horn section, and five other incredibly talented musicians who round it all out—so every show feels big and full of energy. We had them play at my spouse's retirement party, and they made the night unforgettable. Super easy to work with, really friendly with guests, and the music was top-notch. If you want a band that makes any event feel special, these are the folks to call!

    Soul Shake played for my son's wedding

    Soul Shake and the Eastside Horns is a 10-piece high energy band that plays an extensive selection of music from the 1960's to today. They played for my son's wedding on September 15, 2025 and we could not have been happier! They were very professional and engaging with the wedding party and guests. They had a special crate with shakers and tambourines for audience participation on the dance floor too! We were able to preview the playlist and select songs that were personal to our special day. Communication was best done via email but text and phone calls were helpful for last minute updates and changes leading up to the wedding date. We had an outdoor farm style wedding and they were more than adequately prepared to play for this type of venue. As a courtesy, we provided an open air tent, beverages and food for the band members as most of them traveled an hour or more to our special event. The cost was very reasonable for our budget as well. I highly recommend you check out their internet webpage or look them up on Facebook. They play venues all over the Cleveland area, so it would be easy for you to catch a live show before booking. Enjoy! We certainly did!
