Just outside of downtown Tampa sits The Orlo, a private social club housed within the historic Spafford House and ballroom. Orlo J. Spafford, the president of the Tampa National Bank, built the Orlo in 1896 to share with his son and his family. In 1922 the Orlo was sold to the Tampa Women’s Club where the addition of a ballroom was made to host formal parties and extravagant dances. This historical ballroom still stands today and is ready to host your next party or extravaganza. Some of our favorite features are our gorgeous bridal suite on the second floor. It has so much natural lighting (a photographers dream) and large enough for you and your bridal party to get ready on your wedding morning! The Orlo has been restored and still has the original wood floors, chandeliers, and grand staircase. It is the perfect blank slate for your wedding or event!

Downtown Tampa and surrounding neighborhoods offer excellent venue options with built-in convenience for guests. Channelside provides waterfront settings with views of Tampa Bay, while historic Ybor City brings distinctive character with its brick streets and vintage architecture. Hyde Park and South Tampa offer elegant garden venues and upscale event spaces within minutes of downtown. The downtown area appeals to couples because of its walkability, abundant hotel options for out-of-town guests, and iconic photo backdrops along the Hillsborough River and Tampa Bay waterfront. Downtown venues give you easy access to restaurants and entertainment for welcome parties or day-after brunches. Couples can take advantage of rooftop event spaces with skyline views or historic estates tucked into tree-lined neighborhoods like Hyde Park.
Among Zola couples marrying in Tampa, March and November are the most popular months. Tampa's subtropical climate makes these shoulder season months especially appealing, offering comfortable temperatures in the 70s and lower humidity compared to summer. March brings beautiful spring weather with blooming gardens and minimal rainfall, perfect for outdoor ceremonies along Tampa Bay or the Hillsborough River. November provides mild, pleasant conditions after the summer heat and hurricane season have passed, with cooler evenings ideal for waterfront receptions. Summer months (June through September) bring afternoon thunderstorms and high humidity, though covered venues with air conditioning work beautifully year-round. Winter months (December through February) offer the most predictable weather, with mild temperatures and the lowest chance of rain, making them excellent choices for garden venues and rooftop spaces.
Tampa's 100-guest budget range of around $25,200 to $37,800, according to the ZWCI, is above the national median total of $25,000 and below the metro average of around $50,100, both from Zola's 2026 Wedding Spend Survey of 720 couples. This positions Tampa as a moderate-cost wedding destination compared to national metro areas. Compared to nearby Florida cities, Tampa's budget range is similar to Jacksonville (around $24,600 to $36,900) and slightly lower than Miami (around $27,400 to $41,000), while matching Orlando exactly at around $25,200 to $37,800. Tampa offers good value for couples seeking waterfront venues and year-round celebration options without the premium pricing of South Florida markets. The city's diverse venue selection—from historic estates to modern event spaces—provides options across various price points, with starting prices on Zola listings ranging from around $5,000 to $10,000.
Most couples in Tampa book their wedding venues 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season from October through May when the weather is ideal. Tampa's waterfront and garden venues are particularly in-demand during these cooler months, and popular weekend dates can fill up quickly. If you're planning a winter wedding to take advantage of Tampa's mild climate, consider starting your venue search even earlier—around 18 to 24 months out. Summer weddings (June through September) offer more flexibility due to heat and humidity, so you may find availability with 9 to 12 months' notice. According to the Zola Wedding Cost Index, venue costs for 100 guests in Tampa typically range from around $4,000 to $6,000. Popular neighborhoods like Hyde Park and Channelside book especially fast during February and March.
Tampa offers diverse neighborhoods that each bring unique character to weddings. Ybor City is known for its historic charm with brick-lined streets and vintage architecture, perfect for couples wanting an urban, artsy vibe. Hyde Park features elegant, upscale venues surrounded by tree-lined streets and boutique shops, appealing to couples seeking classic sophistication. South Tampa provides easy access to waterfront locations along Tampa Bay with stunning sunset views. Channelside offers modern downtown venues with skyline views and proximity to the Tampa Riverwalk, ideal for contemporary celebrations. Westchase delivers suburban convenience with spacious facilities and ample parking. Based on Zola marketplace data, Tampa venues have a median starting price of around $6,300, with options ranging from about $3,500 to $10,000. Many couples choose their neighborhood based on whether they want waterfront views along the Hillsborough River or Tampa Bay.
