Pave'

Pave'

Wilmington, NC
30 guests

Pave' is downtown Wilmington's newest event space. We are conveniently located on the ground floor on Water Street (near Chandler's Warf)...just steps away from the River Walk and the Cape Fear River. We book it out from 9-4 or 5-10pm. We are going GREEN and not meaning just adding plants (but yes, more plants the better). No more wasting water washing linen/dishes. Our plates/flatware/cups are biodegradable (we do offer an eclectic mix of real wine/champagne glasses). No more 6 foot banquet tables. This venue is meant for social gatherings. Pave' is cocktail style so lounge if you like on the couch, hop up on a bar stool or stand and mix/mingle. We offer all the rentals. There is only one bathroom at Pave' so that keeps our numbers comfortably in the 25-35 range. This is the vision for Pave'. I have done traditional venues in the past but I thought it was time to mix things up a bit.

Downtown Wilmington and surrounding neighborhoods like the Historic Downtown district, Brooklyn Arts District, and Carolina Heights offer excellent venue options with walkability and character. Belle Vue Wilmington provides a tranquil setting with starting prices around $500, while brewery venues like Ironclad Brewery and The Taproom at Front Street Brewery offer industrial-chic downtown settings. The downtown area appeals to couples who want their guests to enjoy the Wilmington Riverwalk for photos, stay at nearby hotels within walking distance, and explore the Cape Fear River waterfront. Historic downtown venues also provide easy access to the iconic Battleship North Carolina as a dramatic photo backdrop.

Among Zola couples marrying in Wilmington, May, September, and October are the most popular months. These shoulder seasons offer the ideal balance of pleasant weather and comfortable temperatures for outdoor ceremonies along the Cape Fear River or at Wrightsville Beach venues. Spring brings blooming azaleas and moderate humidity, while early fall delivers warm days without the peak summer heat that can reach the 90s. September and October are particularly appealing for couples who want to take advantage of the riverfront and beach settings without the intense July and August temperatures. Winter months (December through February) stay relatively mild compared to northern cities, with average highs in the 50s and 60s, making Wilmington a year-round wedding destination. May through October remain the preferred window for most celebrations.

Wilmington's 100-guest budget range of around $27,500 to $41,300 (according to the ZWCI) is above the national median total of $25,000 and below the metro average of around $50,100, both from Zola's 2026 Wedding Spend Survey of 720 couples. This positions Wilmington as a moderately priced market—more expensive than the national median but significantly more affordable than major metros. Compared to nearby North Carolina cities, Wilmington (around $27,500 to $41,300) costs slightly less than Raleigh (around $27,700 to $41,600) and noticeably less than Asheville (around $28,700 to $43,100), while running nearly identical to Charlotte (around $27,200 to $40,800). For couples seeking coastal charm with riverfront and beach venue options, Wilmington delivers strong value compared to both national metro averages and mountain wedding destinations like Asheville.

For Wilmington wedding venues, booking 12 to 18 months in advance is recommended, especially if you're planning a spring or fall wedding when the coastal weather is most favorable. The area's popularity as a destination wedding location—with its historic downtown charm and beachfront access—means prime dates fill up quickly, particularly April through June and September through November.

If you're planning a summer or winter wedding, you may have more flexibility with 9 to 12 months' notice, though popular venues still book early year-round. According to the Zola Wedding Cost Index, venue costs in Wilmington range from around $4,300 to $6,400 for 100 guests, with starting prices based on Zola marketplace data showing a median of around $1,500. Early booking not only secures your preferred date but often provides more negotiating room on rates and package options.

Wilmington offers diverse wedding venue options across its coastal landscape, though specific neighborhood concentrations vary. The historic downtown district is a major draw, featuring waterfront venues along the Cape Fear River with classic Southern architecture and easy access for guests staying in the city center. These locations often provide both ceremony and reception spaces with scenic backdrops.

The beachfront areas toward Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach offer stunning ocean views and relaxed coastal elegance, ideal for couples wanting a beach wedding without sacrificing amenities. For those seeking something more secluded, venues in the surrounding areas provide plantation-style estates and garden settings with Spanish moss and live oaks. Based on Zola marketplace data, venue starting prices across Wilmington range from around $1,000 to $2,700, giving couples options across different neighborhoods and styles to match their vision and budget.
