“We had an incredible experience at Secret Gardens Miami for our engagement proposal.
From the beginning, Joe was extremely helpful, responsive, and accommodating. They worked with me to create an option that made sense for what I was planning and were very competitive with both the pricing and the amount of private access we received. Joe also actively tried to help me execute the vision by connecting me with vendors and partners in their network, which I really appreciated.
On the day of the proposal, the property was immaculate. Secret Gardens has so many different nooks, landscapes, waterfalls, and beautiful backdrops that you could spend hours taking photos without them all looking like they came from the same location. We were able to create a very private and intimate proposal while still having plenty of space for our family, friends, dancers, and production team. Parking was also more than sufficient for everyone we had on property.
One of the coolest surprises was seeing the live swans throughout the gardens. They even ended up appearing in the background of some of our engagement photos, which gave the pictures an almost unreal quality. The swans had recently had babies, so one area of the property, including a swing I had originally hoped to use for photos, was understandably closed off for their protection. Since this is a living garden with animals and nature, I would just recommend understanding that certain areas may occasionally be unavailable depending on the season.
And if you're planning an outdoor event here during the summer, remember that this is South Florida. Even in the evening, August is HOT, so plan accordingly.
Those are minor considerations compared with the overall experience. The gardens gave me exactly what I wanted: a beautiful, secluded setting where I could surprise my now-fiancée and create a moment that felt completely removed from the outside world.
It really does feel like a little hidden love cove tucked away in Homestead. Between the gardens, waterfalls, architecture, wildlife, and all of the different photo opportunities, it was an unforgettable setting for one of the most important moments of our lives.
