Weddings are our specialty and we want to make yours a huge success. Whether you want us to perform for your ceremony or your reception, we'll assist you with introductions, announcements and the day of coordination. We’re all about playing dance floor filling music sets that are mixed by an amazing DJ.

Our "Cardinal" DJ package includes 6 hours of performance by a dedicated professional DJ who will keep your event running smoothly. We'll work with you to create a unique experiences for you and your guests as we know no two events are alike. This package also includes our Dance Floor Lighting, Uplighting, and Ceremony Audio (Music + Mics) at a discount to save you $450 off the a la carte rates.

The Mellencamp

(We do offer a few more a la carte services like Karaoke, Live Music, and a few more!)

Best day of our lives!
When planning a wedding, there are so many things to consider. It’s even harder when you have no experience picking a caterer, photographer, dj, etc. Boy were we lucky we came across amplified events! The owner Mike is very involved in his business. He answered all questions via call and email until we were ready to sign. It was a simple process to sign the contract and pay the deposit. What we loved most about them was the portal to choose songs at our wedding. Since we were planning an out of town wedding, we loved that this was something we could complete months in advance to decrease stress the month of the wedding. A few weeks prior to the wedding, we had a chat with the DJ, Micah who would be at our event. After that call, we were at ease and giddy to begin celebrating. We received compliments from guests at the ceremony that they were able to hear every word, which is not the case at many weddings we go to. The DJ stuck to our do not play songs, didn’t take song suggestions from guests as suggested, and let me, the bride, talk on the microphone whenever I wanted. He also made announcements as we asked right on schedule. Micah read the room and played banger after banger. He nailed it! He deserves a raise! Everyone had so much fun and commented on how well he did. We chose an eclectic variety of songs to be played (country, pop, oldies, a polka, and electronic music), and he put them in an order to keep the dance floor full the entire night. I think some people were not expecting some of the harder stuff we threw in there for the end of the night, but a lot of our friends loved it, and more importantly we loved it. The “la bamba flip” he used to transition into to debauchery has been dubbed “wubumba”. As we write this review weeks later, we are still mentally dancing at our wedding. Micah even got us our playlists, so we can continue to enjoy them. It makes for a fun date while making dinner at home to relive the best night of our lives! Thanks Micah and Amplified Events for excelling!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Amplified Events. From our first conversation, they listened carefully to what mattered most to us and made sure every detail came through on our wedding day. They honored our family's prayer before dinner and wove in our special songs at just the right moments, creating a night we'll never forget. What stood out was how much they genuinely cared about making the celebration feel personal and authentic. Their energy kept our guests dancing and smiling the entire evening. We'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for a DJ that brings both skill and heart to their weddings.

Mike with Amplified is Great!
My wife and I can't recommend Mike with Amplified events enough, he was so easy to work with and open to our vision for what we wanted at our wedding reception! We even had a few specific music requests for intros and various other things that he was more than willing to accomodate for. The app that they use is super easy and user friendly as well and made selecting music leading up to the reception very simple and stress-free. Mike and Cole brought the energy all night and the packed dance floor reflected that. We had several people come up to us at various points complimenting what a great job they did. Again, cannot recommend Mike and Amplified enough!

Book Them IMMEDIATELY (Run Don’t Walk)
If you’re even thinking about booking them do it. Immediately. Run, don’t walk. Your future self (and your dance floor) will thank you. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ team for our wedding. The ceremony went perfectly from volume levels, sound cues, and mic levels. Then came the reception where they absolutely crushed it!! The whole day was handled perfectly. Micah was incredible at reading the room and keeping the dance floor full the entire night. Every transition was smooth, every song was a banger, and the momentum never dropped The mixing from start to finish was spot on with no awkward gaps or weird transitions. Since the wedding, we’ve had compliment after compliment from guests saying it was the best dance floor music they’ve ever experienced, which says a lot. We’re attaching some photos, and honestly they speak for themselves. You can see how packed the dance floor was and how much fun everyone was having all night! Overall, just an amazing experience and a huge part of what made the night so memorable. If you’re even thinking about booking them do it. Immediately. Run, don’t walk. Your future self (and your dance floor) will thank you.

Amazing night!!
We used Amplified Events for our Chicago wedding and had the BEST experience! From start to finish it was perfection. Joe was our DJ and he was friendly, communicative, and accommodating from the start. He truly made the vibe perfect, and the dance floor was hopping all night long! Our guests raved about what a great DJ we had and how wonderful the music choices were. Guests asked for our playlist after Joe’s assistant Cole was awesome too! He had great energy and even took extra bonus pictures throughout the night which turned out to be awesome! He captured so many fun moments for us that we didn’t even know we needed! We also loved the app they use to keep our songs organized and ensure they played the hits we wanted. Joe also did the music and audio for the ceremony and the sound was perfect! Highly recommend this company for a wedding DJ!! Would give so many more stars if I could!
