Hi! I'm Jake, a.k.a. DJ Hooded Wolf. I'm a DJ based in NJ just outside of Philadelphia, PA. My career kick-started as the opening DJ for DJ Frequency, the mastermind behind the Grammy Award Winning track "Monster" by Eminem feat. Rihanna. Since then, I've been fortunate enough to perform at a wide range of events and venues, ensuring every moment is brimming with excitement.     Best DJ in the business

    Jake made our special day one we will never forget. From MCing the ceremony to keeping the dance floor lively all night, he absolutely killed it! The wedding playlist process was very user friendly with the app and he helped fill in the gaps during our walkthrough.     An Amazing DJ for An Amazing Night

    DJ Hooded Wolf was absolutely incredible! He kept the dance floor packed all night and did an amazing job reading the crowd and playing the perfect mix for everyone. He was professional, responsive, and so easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had!     Best wedding DJ EVER

    Jake from DJ Hooded Wolf was the best decision we made for our wedding day. He stayed organized and energetic throughout the night, keeping the dance floor packed for nearly four hours straight. What impressed us most was how tuned in he was to our guests and the overall vibe—he knew exactly when to switch songs and how to keep the momentum going. Jake was also incredibly flexible and helpful with managing the flow of events, which took so much stress off our shoulders.     Incredible experience!

    Our wedding was a hit, thanks in large part to the talented DJ Hooded Wolf. From the start communication was timely, concise and informative making the booking process easy peasy. He arrived promptly and set up efficiently, allowing the reception to start right on schedule. We had a mix of non dancers and dancers and he kept both entertained! As long as the wedding couple are okay with it! If a request is on the couple's "do not play" list, I'll politely let guests know I can't accommodate their request. Otherwise, I'm happy to mix in requests on the fly.
Yes! My standard wedding package includes music for the entire wedding day. That includes guest arrival, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
Yes! I carry full DJ event insurance and am happy to provide proof of insurance upon request.
I truly strive to provide a unique, personalized DJ set for every single client who hires me, so my style adapts to the tastes and preferences of my clients. However, my career started DJ'ing mainly with hip-hop and pop music and those are some of my favorites to this day. Some of my biggest influences as a DJ are DJ Jazzy Jeff, Digital Dave, and Nick Bike.
Although my setup only usually takes about an hour, I like to arrive for setup at least 2 hours before guests arrive. I always like to leave extra time in the case of emergencies.
Dance floor lighting comes included with my standard wedding package. I use a light bar with 4 LED wash lights that a have variety of modes including static, strobe, fade, and music-synced lighting. I also have a partnership with Ready Entertainment Weddings that allows me to provide add ons like CO2 cannons, "Dancing On The Cloud", uplighting, and even an LED wall.
From the moment you book me, you're not just hiring a DJ, you're getting a planning partner. Once you book me, I set you up with ViboDJ, my planning app. This app let's you build your timeline, import songs and playlists from Spotify or Apple Music, and flag your must-plays and do-not-plays. About 2 weeks out, we'll sync on every detail (ceremony music, grand entrance, dinner vibe, all of it) via video call. By the time your wedding day is here, we'll have covered every detail and be totally synced up so that you can be present during the biggest day of your life and enjoy the party!
