I have loved music since a kid. I grew up listening to old Motown, Michael Jackson, Prince, OutKast, Wu-Tang Clan, Jimi Hendrix and Hall & Oates. I watched Video Soul on BET and of course I was a MTV kid like any good 80's baby. I became the resident DJ for 78th Street Studios "Third Friday Art Walk", courtesy of Northcoast Promotions in 2022. I infuse sets that varies in genre, style & eras. I strive to provide a set that is enjoyable for all ages. I want to bring you a set that you won't regret and most importantly I want you to have the time of your life.

My business is independently owned and operated, which allows me to give each client the individual attention they deserve without missing any details. With a background in hospitality, I understand the importance of making you happy and going out of my way to meet your needs.

    Last minute booking, very accomodating

    My manager met LaCroy when he was playing at the VanAken district and got his contact info. We had an event that our usual DJ could not do, so we reached out to DJ Sunset. He had us booked quickly, showed up on time, even started playing music 15 min prior to our start time. The music he played was perfect for our family event. We not only did not get any complaints, but we got many people complimenting him! Our event wound up going better than we thought it would, and we asked him to stay an extra hour and he did, even though he had another event that evening. He was extremely accommodating and we threw so many things at him last minute. We already have him booked for another event at the end of this month!

    Hire this guy!

    DJ Sunset was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding! From our initial meetups and emails to nail down the song choices, he was communicative, flexible, and clearly wanted to make sure we were thrilled with the music. On the day of, he was super fun and relaxed, and kept the dance floor packed with his great song selection and energy. We loved that he let us choose some non-traditional songs that were special to us, and he really kept the party going all night long. What a great guy - DJ Sunset provided amazing value and was a huge part of making our wedding day so memorable!

    PARTY THROWN

    We hired DJ Sunset for our wedding reception. Even though the playlist wasn't followed, the crowd was dancing all night long! We were able to get some good requests in as well! DJ Sunset was incredibly professional, punctual, well-dressed, and easy to communicate with throughout the planning process. He was super easy to work with and made everything feel seamless. The dance floor was never empty! He knew our goal was to throw a party and ensured that party was thrown!

    Great addition to our wedding team!

    DJ Sunset was phenomenal!! He created a great playlist that our guests still talk about. He really was able to combine songs for all generations and it all played together so well. He communicated throughout the whole process and made an effort to get to know us as a couple. On the day of, he ensured everyone was on the same page for reception timeline and when to play certain songs. He created a lovely ambiance at the reception! We highly recommend DJ Sunset.

    Amazing Dj

    Dj Sunset knows how to get the party started! Booked him for my wedding reception and my experience was a 10/10. He's extremely attentive, professional, and gives you exactly what you're looking for. Highly recommended to anyone who needs services!

I provide some sort of lighting with all my packages. The further in tier the more is provided. Different lighting can be added a la carte as well to any package. I do not offer photo booths at this time.

Yes, preferably before the day of but I do accommodate as long as it's done in orderly fashion to stay with the vibe of the night. However songs/artists on the couples "do not play list" will not be played to meet their desires!
