I am passionate about weddings because of the special impact that we get to make for each couple. As the manager and a member of the band, I get to create the best experience possible for all of my clients by seeing live how to make your day easy, exciting, and enjoyable. In The Blue Jazz Ensemble is truly unique because of our use of saxophones, our innovative rhythm section, and our options to customize our services to your needs. We work with the best professionals in the area to add additional musicians to our group at the requests of our clients!

We have the unique offering of a full music solution from the ceremony musicians to a DJ for dancing at the reception. We offer both live musicians and DJs in our packages. We also customize to every event to make sure you have the musical experience you have dreamed of.

    The Best Vibes!

    From our first conversation, they were thorough in answering all our questions and genuinely kind about working with us on what we wanted. They showed up ready to play the songs we requested and brought such great vibes to the whole night that our guests couldn't stop talking about it. What really stood out was how flexible and accommodating they were with every detail we threw their way. Their talent behind the instruments was obvious, but it was their willingness to adapt to our vision that made them feel like part of our team. We can't recommend them enough to couples looking for a band that actually listens and delivers.

    Amazing!

    In The Blue Jazz Ensemble was absolutely amazing! From our first interaction, they were incredibly responsive and communicative, answering all of our questions thoroughly and ensuring we felt confident in their abilities. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time and seamlessly set up, allowing the event to flow perfectly. Their performance was outstanding - they had our guests dancing all night long with their energetic and polished renditions of classic jazz standards and contemporary hits.     Incredible Musicians! Hire live music!

    If you are on the fence about hiring live music, the answer is YES, it does make a huge difference! We hired In The Blue Jazz Ensemble for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. From the very first interaction, their communication was professional and prompt, putting us at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of the wedding, their performance was high-level and they chose the perfect music to create an incredible atmosphere.     The right choice

    Booking this band will be the best decision you can make for your wedding. This young, capable group showed up and showed out for our wedding! People loved the subtle yet upbeat tone they brought to the happy hour. Got the party started and even helped my wife walk down the aisle with some beautiful solos!

    Elevated our wedding

For formal events typically wear a black suit with white shirts, blue bow ties, and black shoes. We can dress business casual, in all black, or if you have a special request we are happy to accommodate.
Yes! We customize our ceremony music to your tastes. Our ensembles have a recommended repertoire for cocktail hour & dinner, but we are happy to learn new songs in advanced. Our DJs also take any song requests.
Our band always performs and rehearses together regularly, so you know that our bond to your event will be stronger than other musicians who only play together for one gig. We also uniquely offer live ensemble for classical & jazz music, in addition to DJ services.
Yes, we do have a standard repertoire based on popular musical tastes.
Yes, all of our live musicians are fully insured!
Our style is to create casual and elegant atmosphere for you and your guests.
We typically set up 30 minutes to 1 hour before the performance.
We provide live musicians for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinner, and for dancing at the reception. We also provide additional services through our partners DJ Divergence and QC Event Sound. This includes DJ services, Emcee services, custom playlists, event sound, lighting, fog machines, and much more!
We have no breakdown fees! We have no travel fees if 50 miles away from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
We do not charge any sales tax.
