Mint DJ & Event Group is a team of expert wedding and event DJs based in State College, PA. Founded in Happy Valley by Penn State alum Alex Nepa, we DJ weddings across Central Pennsylvania, from Altoona and Johnstown to Lewisburg, Williamsport, and State College. We plan with you one-on-one, host the announcements, and mix the music live. Tell us what you love, what you don't want to hear, and how you want the night to feel. From ceremony sound to the last song of the reception, one team handles it all, and the dance floor stays packed until the end.

Different DJs, same Mint standard. We read the room and play the right song at the right time. We mix instead of pressing play: seamless transitions, no dead air, no laptop shuffle. And we host, not just DJ. Every couple gets planning meetings with their DJ plus our #MyMint online planner for must-plays, do-not-plays, and the timeline.     Wedding Dj!

    We cannot recommend Alex Nepa with Mint DJ enough! He was absolutely amazing at our wedding and helped make our special day so unforgettable! From start to finish, he kept the energy up, played the perfect music, and made sure everyone was having a great time. We received SO many compliments from our guests about how great he was! He truly went above and beyond to make our reception everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a DJ who knows how to keep the party going and make your wedding day extra special, Alex is your guy! We are so thankful we chose him and would recommend him a million times over!

    Best Wedding DJ Ever!!

    We could not have had a better experience with Alex Nepa as our wedding DJ! We received so many compliments from guests that the music playlist was one of (if not THE) best that they’ve ever seen at a wedding! Alex had such cool transitions between songs and did an amazing job of gauging what would get the crowd going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! As PSU alumni, we had mentioned that we wanted to enter the reception to a PSU song. Alex took that idea and ran with it - creating an AWESOME mashup of PSU fight songs and even included the lion’s roar sound from the stadium! Our guests absolutely loved it. Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely helpful and responsive. He uses a user-friendly website that includes a thorough questionnaire to understand our music preferences, must-play songs, and do-not play songs. Our guests also loved the photobooth that Alex provided. The photos turned out a little blurry, but I think that’s just because of the neon sign that we chose to hang in the backdrop. He also brought such great energy to the wedding and was truly a joy to work with and have on the mic!

    Phenomenal!!

    We used Alex for our wedding (ceremony and reception) and I cannot recommend him enough! Leading up to our wedding he was very organized and thorough, providing a detailed questionnaire and video consult to plan the day. The ceremony and wedding were flawless - so many people commented on how great he was at our reception and in the days after. He had the crowd of all ages up on the dance floor all night. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning a wedding!!

Our wedding DJ packages start at $2,295, and most couples invest between $2,295 and $4,250 depending on hours and add-ons. The reception package runs from cocktail hour through the end of your reception (or 11pm, whichever comes first) and includes your DJ, sound system, wireless mics for toasts, MC announcements, and travel. Ceremony sound and uplighting ($595) are add-ons.
About 30 minutes of prelude music as guests arrive, a wireless lapel mic for your officiant, mics for vows and readings, and a complete sound system for your processional and recessional. We can also amplify live instruments.
We're based in Boalsburg, just outside State College, and DJ weddings across Central Pennsylvania, including State College and Penn State, Altoona, Johnstown, Lewisburg, and Williamsport. We also travel for destination weddings.
You'll have planning meetings with your DJ, plus access to #MyMint, our online planner, where you build your must-play and do-not-play lists and your timeline from any computer, tablet, or phone.
Yes. You can request a specific Mint DJ, or tell us about your crowd and we'll match you. Every DJ on our team mixes live and trains to the same standard. Book a free 30-minute meet and greet on Zoom before you decide.
Yes, the Lyric Social Booth. Photos, Boomerangs, and GIFs go straight to your guests' phones, with custom overlays to match your wedding. It's available as an add-on.
