I genuinely don't think there are enough words to express how much we appreciate Chris with SeriousSoundz DJ Service! From the very beginning, Chris was absolutely AMAZING to work with. He answered every question we threw his way (and trust me, there were plenty), helped guide us through decisions when we weren't entirely sure what we wanted to do, and made the entire music planning process so much easier! As someone who likes to have everything planned out, I can tell you that planning a wedding is a whole different level of chaos! Chris was always willing to offer suggestions, help us figure things out, and make adjustments whenever they were needed. On the actual wedding day, he was incredibly flexible, adapted as things came up, and was willing to jump in and help with whatever was needed. That kind of dedication means more than I can put into words! And if our recommendation isn't enough, Chris also receives an official FIVE-STAR rating from our one-year-old niece, who apparently decided that the dance floor belonged to her and REFUSED to stay off of it! So, not only do we highly recommend him for weddings, but he also comes highly recommended by babies! In all seriousness, Chris went above and beyond for us, and we are so incredibly thankful that he was part of our special day. If you're looking for a DJ who is professional, flexible, helpful, and genuinely cares about making your event the best it can be, LOOK NO FURTHER! Thank you, Chris, for everything you did for us! BEST DJ EVER!
Sometimes you hire a vendor for your wedding, and sometimes you meet someone who becomes part of your story. About a year and a half before our wedding, I reached out to Chris Hudnell with SeriousSoundz DJ Service. Before I even hired him, we exchanged well over 100 text messages because I had question after question. Not once did he make me feel like a bother. Instead, he became my wedding sounding board, helping me navigate decisions, offering advice, recommending vendors, and always taking the time to help. The funny thing is, Chris isn't a wedding coordinator... he's a DJ!! Throughout the entire planning process, he showed up for us like a friend. Then came the wedding day. He absolutely crushed it. The dance floor was packed, our guests loved him, the music was perfect, and he even surprised us by singing during one of the songs. It was one of those moments that made the night even more memorable. What I'll remember most is how he handled one of the most emotional moments of our wedding. My husband and I both lost our only siblings, and just three weeks before our wedding we lost our friend Craig in a tragic motorcycle accident. We wanted to take a moment to honor them. Chris played "You Should Be Here," and our entire room stood together, crying, hugging, and remembering the people we wished could have been there. Then, exactly as I had asked, he helped us transition back to celebration. One minute we were wiping away tears, and the next we were smiling, dancing, and embracing the joy of the day. That's not something every DJ can do. Near the end of the night, after our photographer and videographer had left, Chris quietly stepped in and captured additional memories for us. He even filmed our private last dance. I didn't know he was doing it at the time, but since the wedding, I've watched that video more times than I can count. It captured one of the most intimate and special moments of our entire day, and it's a gift I'll treasure forever. Chris, thank you for your kindness, your friendship, your talent, and your heart. You helped create so many of our favorite memories, and we will never forget the role you played in making our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be. Beyond a Dj!!
Chris went above and beyond for my wedding, and was genuinely so kind! Not only did he help so much behind the scenes, he was also there to just help keep all of us on track (without rushing us around) He helped calm my nerves prior to the ceremony, made a very sweet and thoughtful gift for my husband and I!! He did so well with the music also! Having a lot of elders/church folk there I was scared, but he made it to where everyone enjoyed the reception God bless you!! Thank you again
