Silver & Strings Trio

Robin Tryon holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Akron and served for 30 years as adjunct professor of flute at the University of Mount Union. Dr. Elaine Anderson is a professor of music at the University of Mount Union. She holds Doctoral, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degrees in ‘cello performance, theory, and string education. Brent Schloneger holds a Masters degree in Piano Performance from Kent State University, has won first place in both piano solo and duo competitions, and currently works as a staff accompanist at the University of Mount Union.

The same three musicians of the Silver & Strings Trio have performed together for many years, which contributes to a consistent, more polished and professional performance. We are unique in that we are a small ensemble that can play acoustically in a small area, or can fill a large venue with our own amplification. For wedding ceremonies, we have our own music coordinator who assists the wedding party in knowing when it is time for each group to process and making sure that the communication is seamless.

    Such musical talent!

    From our first conversation, Silver & Strings Trio made the planning process smooth and easy with their prompt responses and thoughtful guidance. Robin and the team provided gorgeous music for my walk down the aisle and kept our guests entertained before the ceremony started. What really impressed us was the wide range of songs they offered and their willingness to work with us on special requests to make the day feel personal.     An absolute joy to work with

    From the very beginning, working with this strings trio was an absolute joy. We typically wear concert black for ceremonies. We can provide some sparkly jackets for special events!
We have hundreds of suggested songs listed on our website, but songs that are special to you and your fiancé are always welcome.
Cello and piano represent the “Strings” part of the Silver & Strings Trio with the flute providing the “Silver.” This combination offers more variety than like instruments can provide. The piano offers fullness of sound and sets the rhythm, the cello provides a beautiful melody or bass line, and the flute shines on its own. Enjoy listening to our videos on Zola for examples of classical and popular ceremony music, our concert at St. Paul’s for jazz and other selections, and our Christmas concert at Zoar. Our unique sound, style, and professionalism is evident in every setting. We think you will enjoy the variety that we can provide!

Weddings, cocktail parties, and receptions are our specialty! We provide a portable piano if needed, and sound equipment if desired.
We typically arrive an hour ahead of time for wedding ceremonies to set up and get necessary cues from your officiant. We also provide our own music coordinator to help everyone line up and know when to process to our music.
