JCakes is an award-winning custom cake bakery, located in North Branford, Connecticut, specializing in gourmet wedding cakes and cupcakes. JCakes turns scrumptious ingredients into stunning works of art in three steps: 1) Cake- JCakes begins with a freshly baked, moist cake 2) Filling- The cake is then filled with homemade, hand whipped fillings (nothing comes pre-made from a tub). 3) Frosting- Cakes are frosted with your choice of flavored French buttercreams or rich chocolate ganache, or expertly covered in rolled fondant

Gorgeous and delicious cake!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with this team for our wedding cake! From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, and so easy to work with. They were able to get us in for a tasting quickly, and the tasting itself was such a great experience. They presented us with so many delicious options that choosing our flavors was honestly one of the hardest decisions! They were incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and suggestions while still making sure our preferences and vision came first. One thing that really stood out to me was how thoughtfully they approached the tasting. They knew exactly what questions to ask to understand the look and feel I wanted for our cake, and I left feeling completely confident that they understood my vision. After that, I genuinely didn’t have to worry about a thing. They took care of all the details, made the cake exactly how I wanted it, delivered it on time, coordinated with our florist to have the flowers placed, and even took care of positioning our cake topper. The cake itself was absolutely gorgeous! It was exactly what I had envisioned, and I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. But the best part? It tasted just as incredible as it looked! The cake was absolutely to die for, and we received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was. If you’re looking for a baker who will listen to your vision, communicate well, handle all the details, and deliver a cake that is both beautiful and delicious, I highly recommend this team. They made the entire process seamless, and we are so grateful they were part of our wedding day!

Loved Working With JCakes for Our Branford Wedding
Such a pleasure to work with the team at JCakes. They came highly recommended by our venue, Bill Miller's Castle. And were able to provide a variety of cupcakes for our guest along with the modest wedding cake we worked with them to design. They also went above and beyond in picking up our Italian cookie order from a nearby bakery on their way to drop off our desserts for our wedding day. Everything was delicious and guests walked out of our wedding with armfuls of Tupperware we had provided to take home the leftover dessert. We will absolutely use them again!
