Far Out Catering & Events is a boutique wedding catering company serving Silicon Valley, the Bay Area, Roseville, Sacramento, Napa, Sonoma, and surrounding areas. Inspired by French, Italian, Mediterranean, and Peruvian cuisine, we create customized menus for elegant plated dinners, family-style meals, buffets, and cocktail receptions. Our full-service team offers professional staffing, bar service, rentals, desserts, floral design, and attentive support—bringing fresh flavors, beautiful presentation, and warm hospitality to every celebration.

Whether your wedding is intimate or grand, we believe every celebration deserves exceptional care. Throughout the planning process, we take the time to understand your vision and build a trusted relationship with you.     We had such an amazing experience with our catering team for our wedding! Carla, the owner, was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to talk to. From day one, she was communicative and very flexible with all the requests I had, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful. One thing we truly appreciated was that they even delivered food to our home during our tastings--it made everything so convenient. The food was already amazing during the tastings, but it was even more incredible on our wedding day. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was! Carla and her team provided exceptional service from start to finish. They were also the only catering team we found who packed up all the leftovers for us, which meant so much since our family stayed at the venue--we got to continue enjoying the food even after the wedding. They also created our wedding cake, which was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We also ordered the raspberry no-bake cheesecake (which I sadly didn't get to try!), but based on how quickly everything disappeared, it was clearly a hit. We only had a few slices of cake left, which says a lot about how much our guests loved everything. We are beyond grateful for Carla and her team for making our wedding day so special. We will definitely be booking them again for future events--highly recommend!

    Excellent Catering for Our Company Launch Event

    We had the pleasure of working with Far Out Catering for Empo Health's launch party on November 17th at La Honda Winery, and we were extremely pleased with the results!!! Carla Vidal-Lopez was professional and responsive throughout the planning process. She helped us develop a menu that accommodated diverse dietary preferences, and the execution was excellent. The quality of the food was outstanding. The Thanksgiving-themed grazing table featured a well-curated selection of artisan cheeses and charcuterie with thoughtful presentation. The heavy appetizers were creative and well-prepared - the Chicken Saltado presentation was memorable, the vegetarian samosas were excellent, and the Mini Impossible Cheeseburger Sliders were particularly popular with our guests. We've received numerous compliments about the food in the days following the event. The dessert station offered a nice variety, with everything fresh and beautifully presented. The attention to detail was evident in the use of ceramic platters and elegant serving utensils, which added a polished touch to the event. Carla's team was professional and attentive throughout the evening, ensuring smooth service from setup through cleanup. We were very satisfied with our experience with Far Out Catering and would gladly work with them again for future company events. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for quality catering with professional service. Thank you to Carla and the Far Out Catering team for contributing to the success of our launch party!!

    Far Out Catering was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From the very first call, Carla and her team were incredibly detail-oriented, thorough, and excited to bring our vision to life. Carla went above and beyond to make sure all of my dietary needs and goals were met - the food was free of many of my allergens, all organic, and absolutely delicious. Many of our guests raved about the dinner and desserts. The attention to detail in the table settings and catering services was outstanding. I felt that Carla truly went the extra mile to ensure I had a menu I was excited about, and the quality of the food was excellent. Highly recommend Far Out Catering for your special day!

    Best experience, I could have not ask for more!

    I had the wonderful pleasure of working with Carla and her far out catering team! Carla and her team provided an amazing service for our wedding! Carla is a professional who knows how to make her clients feel special and understood. She guided us from the early planning stage through the last finishing details. Their food menu had fantastic options but is also truly delicious! It was so good, we barely had any leftovers! And those left overs were gobbled up in 2 days! Carla was flexible and super patient with my ever so changing requests. She always shared great perspectives on menu combinations and drink choices. As someone who's served many events, she knows the crowd pleasures .., her miso salmon and Peruvian short ribs were a huge success! Carla does a fantastic job of tracking the things we needed for the event, and always checked in with me! At some point I thought "is there something carla, can't do?" She had it all, food, drinks, flowers even last minute decor items, she made them appear! She truly is a professional and her team delivered excellent service! Thank you Carla for your amazing service, we were truly fortunate to have you!!

    I had the pleasure of working with Carla and her incredible team at a recent wedding, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. As a wedding planner, I’ve worked with many vendors—and Carla truly stands out. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the presentation was stunning. Her team went above and beyond with everything from catering and bartending to ceremony setup—including a gorgeous arch that made for the perfect backdrop. It’s rare to find a one-stop shop that delivers such quality and care across the board. Carla was professional, warm, and so easy to collaborate with.
