I feel compelled to share a cautionary account of our dealings with MAR International Catering Corp. to help others make informed decisions. Initially drawn in by their professional proposal, which promised flexible payment options including Zelle, our experience quickly soured due to concerning business practices.

The crux of our dissatisfaction lies in how the company handled financial transactions and contract agreements. Despite initially advertising Zelle as a payment method, the company abruptly reversed course, refusing to accept this form of payment without providing a clear rationale or alternative solutions. This sudden shift was problematic, yet what followed was even more disconcerting.

As we navigated these payment issues, it became evident that MAR International Catering Corp. was reluctant to formalize our agreement. It was only when we voiced concerns over the lack of a formal contract and the unprofessionalism of attempting to secure payment under these ambiguous terms that a contract was reluctantly provided. This sequence of events felt less like a misunderstanding and more like a deliberate attempt to pressure us into complying with their demands, absent the protection and clarity a contract offers.

This practice of attempting to bully clients into sending money, coupled with an initial refusal to provide a contractual agreement, stands as our primary grievance. Such tactics not only undermine trust but also reflect poorly on the professionalism of MAR International Catering Corp.

It was disheartening to witness the shift from what appeared to be a promising partnership to a situation marked by pressure and uncertainty. Our experience serves as a stark reminder of the importance of transparency and professionalism in all business dealings, especially when it comes to events as significant as a wedding.

We share our story not to malign, but to emphasize the necessity of clear, written agreements in any service engagement and to caution against businesses that might not prioritize these standards. For anyone considering MAR International Catering Corp., we advise vigilance and a firm insistence on formal contracts before any financial commitments are made.

Our hope is that our experience can serve as a lesson in the importance of advocating for one's rights as a consumer and the need to be wary of pressure tactics that could lead to discomfort and dissatisfaction.
