At Custom Catering by Short Stop, we’re all about creativity in our food, service, drinks, and partnerships. Along with four chefs, Byron encourages exciting new food combinations and concocts menus that reflect the uniqueness of your special event.

From the stunning beauty of our tasting room to the smile on your server’s face, our goal is to delight you with every interaction. We have been locally owned for our entire history, since 1995, but our roots go back to 1974 with the first Short Stop Restaurant in Sauk Rapids.

    Every Soul Satisfied!

    Working with ShortStop Custom Catering was a smooth experience from start to finish. They kept us in the loop with timely updates and were flexible when we needed to adjust our plans, including accommodating special meal requests for our guests. The food itself was phenomenal—the bacon wrapped chicken, Vermont potatoes, and corn were all cooked to perfection and had incredible flavor. A month after our wedding, guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. We felt like ShortStop really understood what we wanted and delivered on every front. We'd absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for a caterer who takes pride in their work.
