We found Zak through a friend who used to dance at his studio, and from our very first conversation we knew God had brought someone special into our lives. We started out just wanting to feel less awkward on the dance floor when we went out with friends. It wasn't long before the teacher-student relationship turned into a real friendship. When we got engaged, Zak was almost as excited as we were, and he threw himself into making our vision a reality. He made sure our first dance — and our second — was exactly right, and then went a step further and edited the music himself so it fit our routine perfectly. We can't recommend him enough. His skill, his care, and his knack for explaining things in a way that finally clicks are simply fantastic!

We hadn't put much thought into the wedding dance and realized about 11 days before the big day. I found Zak online and called him: "Hey! I'm getting married in 10 days and have VERY Caucasian hips... like, I'm a white engineer. Can you help me not look like an idiot in my wedding dance?" ... and he replied "Can you come in right now?" We worked with Zak for several lessons in short order and it was fantastic. He helped me understand some basics, helped us narrow down our wedding dance song to suit our tempo (don't force it!), and had me keeping up with my beautiful wife by the end of it all. At our wedding, we had 100 guests give a standing ovation after the dance, many people either crying or turned on. It was truly elegant and the classics never die. Nailed it! Thanks Zak and definitely would recommend, even for guys like me who "don't dance."

I think the one thing I'm going to miss the most about the wedding planning process is our first dance lessons with Zak!
