How Rune readings work Deck Selection: The reader or querent may choose a specific tarot deck that resonates with them. Shuffling: The cards are shuffled, either by the reader or the querent, while focusing on a question or intention. Card Spread: A specific layout or "spread" is chosen, which determines how many cards are drawn and their positions. Common spreads include the three-card spread (past, present, future) and the Celtic Cross. Interpretation: Each card is interpreted based on its imagery, symbolism, and position in the spread. The reader combines these meanings to provide insights related to the querent’s question.
