About Preserved In Print

Preserved In Print

Owner & Journalist

My name is Hannah and I believe your wedding is more than just a fleeting moment – it's a story that deserves to be told. I collaborate with your wedding photographer to create a custom editorial magazine detailing the most heartwarming moments of your big day. I speak to you before the wedding to hear your plans, attend day-of to document everything exactly as it happens from a guest's perspective, and arrange interviews with your loved ones after to gather their unique reflections. The final result is a written record of your big celebration that can be passed down to your own children someday.

I personally invented this service based on my own wedding experience. I felt separated from my guests and lost in the chaos of the day while they were able to actually relax and enjoy the event I spent nearly a year planning. It seemed unfair and I wanted that perspective; and then I realized I'm a trained reporter with over 15 years of journalism experience and am perfectly equipped to fill that gap for others. Since beginning my business in July of 2025, I have traveled to Texas, Oregon, New York, and anywhere in between to attend weddings and create a one of a kind keepsake that newlyweds can treasure for years to come.

    Meticulous Work, Beautiful Results

We worked with Hannah at Preserved In Print to turn our wedding memories into a beautiful heirloom, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From our first conversation, Hannah was professional and attentive, taking the time to understand exactly what we wanted. As someone who is detail-oriented, I appreciated how she handled all of my requests with patience and expertise, never making me feel like I was asking too much. The entire process from start to finish was seamless, and the final product exceeded all of our expectations. Every detail was handled beautifully, and it's clear Hannah takes real pride in her work. If you want a keepsake that captures your wedding day perfectly, Preserved In Print is the way to go.

Looking forward to our timeless keepsake

As a wedding journalist myself, I knew I wanted my wedding covered in print — I just didn't want to be the one writing it. Luckily Hannah was available. Every time I spotted her during the wedding she was either furiously taking notes or deep in conversation with our guests, soaking up every detail. The interview process has been easy and genuinely enjoyable. She says she got a lot of great material, and based on how thoroughly she worked the room, I believe it. We can't wait to see the final product and will update this review when it's in hand

Thank you Hsing! Your wedding was so stunning and I cannot wait to get everything ironed out and sent to you!

It's a new category of wedding coverage I invented based on my own wedding FOMO. I was so busy day-of that I couldn't fully enjoy the party I spent over a year planning. Then I realized I have a literal journalism degree and 15 years of experience backing me up to fill that gap for others. I interview you before your wedding, attend as a guest day-of to watch out for the things you can't physically be in the room for, and interview your loved ones after to hear their reflections and thoughts. All of that gets turned into a custom designed editorial magazine featuring your photographer's images and articles that add context to those images.
The core of every package includes: - Couple pre-wedding interview - Day-of wedding attendance (hours vary by package) - Post-wedding interviews with your chosen sources (source count varies by package) - Custom magazine writing, editing, and design - Professional printing and binding - One printed magazine copy (with the option to print more at $0.20 per page) - One preservative plastic sleeve - Communication and previews throughout the process
If you value investing in photography, you should value the story behind them; after all, they say a photo is worth a thousand words... and someday your children are going to ask what it was like. I work with your photographer to enhance their artistry by filling in all the blanks for you. Day-of, I immerse myself as a guest so I can accurately recreate the experience in words from an outside-looking-in perspective. You're going to remember the chaos going on behind the scenes, but I memorialize the enjoyment of your loved ones. Your photographer and videographer give you the edited highlights, but I connect all the moments in between.
My name is Hannah and I've been a reporter in the Kansas City area for the last 15 years, beginning as a high school reporter and culminating in a copywriting career at AMC Theatres in their film division. I've written promotional scripts, created landing pages for nation-wide campaigns, named food and drink combos, and even reported on the construction of the first ever purpose-built women's soccer stadium in the US for The Pitch. I took part in an internship abroad program where I worked under the tutelage of a former Guardian reporter in London. I invented wedding journalism in June of 2025 following my May wedding.
Visit my website and fill out an inquiry form so I can get a rough idea of who you are and what your event will look like. We'll schedule a quick consultation call to go over which issue works best for you, how my process works, and what is included in my contracts without any pressure to book. I take a 50% service fee up front that will be applied toward your final cost. This guarantees your booking. The other 50% isn't due until your magazine is ready to be delivered. At this time we can discuss any additional prints you'd like to have ordered.
Yes! I offer 10% off to help offset your travel costs (flight, hotel, and ground transportation required; receipts are provided for reimbursement). In 2026 I have visited Texas, Oregon, Colorado and New York with trips to Michigan, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Iowa on the horizon.
I typically schedule a phone call with you and your partner (separately) 2 months out from the wedding so that your plans are pretty finalized and you can tell me more about the little details you incorporated. I do not interview your guests day-of because I want them to fully engage in the moment and enjoy the celebration as intended without interruption, though I engage in casual conversation and request placement in your seating chart. After the wedding, you'll send me a contact list with phone numbers so I can arrange a date and time to do a phone interview.
I'm probably spending just as much time with you as your planner does - not in terms of contact, but in terms of project timelines. You book me when you have a date, then you work with me for months beyond that while I write and design your magazine before final delivery. There is no real way to estimate a timeline currently because it is dependent on your gallery arrival and the amount of effort it takes to iron out interviews. Typically, 5+ months after your wedding date. I've been told the wait is more than worth it, though!
