We started this floral design company to follow our passion for flowers and create the wedding of your dreams. We are based in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, but travel throughout New England to service our clients. We specialize in creative and detailed designs. Every client is unique and we love to showcase that through our designs.

We take the time to get to know our clients and understand their vision for their day. We create impeccable designs while being respectful of their budget. We will involve the couple as much or as little as they would like.

    Please book The Dirt Empress!!

    Erin and the whole team at The Dirt Empress are INCREDIBLE! She took our vision and brought it to life perfectly for our Newport wedding. When I saw the flowers, I was truly stunned -- they were better than the inspiration photos I had sent. We also had a relatively limited floral budget, and Erin did an amazing job accommodating with creative ideas like re-purposing our ceremony arch flowers into the head table centerpieces. I found their prices to be super reasonable and really appreciated the way they were flexible and willing to work with us. Finally, Erin was just such a fantastic person to work with. When there was a miscommunication from the venue about the centerpieces they were supposed to keep for us to take home the next day, Erin took the time to meet me the day after the wedding to hand-deliver a couple of centerpieces she had picked up. She really went above-and-beyond in all aspects! Couldn't have asked for a better florist.

    Working with The Dirt Empress was such a dream from start to finish. Elizabeth and her team were proactive about every detail, always checking in and offering fresh ideas that brought our vision to life. They created these gorgeous, flower-forward arrangements that honestly looked like they came straight out of a magazine—we had guests asking about them all night. The quality of their work was truly top notch, and they really understood what we wanted without us having to spell everything out. From the ceremony blooms to the centerpieces, everything felt luxe and exactly right for our day. We couldn't have asked for a better florist team.

    Best Florals Ever

    The Dirt Empress could not have been better. They were so flexible with changes we made (we had a long engagement so some of our tastes changed) and really brought our vision of moody florals to life. The set up team was incredible even making some adjustments because the venue's pergola was a in full bloom. They also saved and put my bouquet in water as soon as we are done using it for photos. Our head table looked like it was out of a dream, and it really felt like the florals were enhancing all of the event spaces. The set up and tear down was so seamless and our venue was thrilled with their team as well. Liz was so fun to work with and was extremely communicative and wonderful to work with. As a queer couple, we talked through multiple ideas for my partner's florals and Liz was great at offering a variety of options. We could not have asked for a better experience with Liz and the Dirt Empress team. If you are looking for beautiful flowers for your wedding day, look no further!

    Perfect Fall Wedding Florals

    I absolutely loved working with The Dirt Empress. Coordination and planning before the wedding was smooth and I was able to see the vision for my flowers and working with Liz she was able to provide excellent suggestions along the way! Seeing my flowers on the day of the wedding I was amazed. The colors fit exactly into my color scheme and the combination of flower types was beautiful. My bouquet, the boutonnières, centerpieces, arbor, and more were all stunning and were exactly what I was looking for. I would 100% recommend The Dirt Empress to anyone looking for a florist for their wedding!

    Book with The Dirt Empress for the Best Day Ever!

    From my first meeting with Erin, I knew The Dirt Empress team would handle our wedding florals with love and care. Erin was such a phenomenal communicator, showing us options and styles to help us design our floral vision. Not only did she come with suggestions to compliment our budget, but her pricing was competitive and transparent. On the day of, Erin blew my expectations out of the water. The quality of the flowers was unmatched with every detail hit right on. The Dahlias were fresh, local, and absolutely stunning. A huge thank you to Erin and The Dirt Empress team for making our wedding florals an absolute dream come true!

We have a $8,000 minimum for wedding florals. All of our pieces are custom made and created for each event.
Consultations last approximately 1 hour and we will either review an inspiration board that the couple creates, or create one ourselves to review and get a sense of your design style and pieces you would like to have at your wedding. Come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget, as well as any particular information about your venue. Also, if you plan on using your own containers, please have them at the time of our consultation so we can evaluate and give you an accurate quote based on their size. After your consultation, we will draw up a proposal with prices and email it to you within a week.
Yes! After the contract is signed, we can provide mock ups of a table centerpiece or bouquet for an additional fee (arrangement plus milage if not meeting at our beverly studio). We prefer to create this between 35 to 60 days before the wedding to take into account seasonal flowers and time to make adjustments before the final proposal and final payments are due.
Our service area generally falls within RI, Eastern Ct, Eastern/middle of MA, coastal NH and ME. We do travel for weddings further when necessary! Our setup and delivery fee is around 20 - 25% of the subtotal depending on what needs to be done on site and if the couple needs breakdown services. For all weddings more than a 2 hr drive from our Beverly, MA and Exeter RI studios we have an additional travel fee.
