I always have such a great experience at this salon! Everyone is so welcoming and I always feel very well taken care of. They have incredible products and treatments. I used to struggle with a lot of scalp irritation and allergies, and they created a series of scalp treatments for me. After several sessions, my scalp is now completely healthy, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! On top of that, their blowouts are amazing. My hair always looks beautiful, and I leave the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and truly cared for. I highly recommend them, especially if you’re looking for a salon that not only makes your hair look beautiful but also genuinely cares about the health of your hair and scalp.

Wonderful experience here. I used to live in the bay area and had my hairstylist for a loooong time bc she was so good. Then we moved. Challenging to find someone good when I wanted to really change up my hairstyle. Last week while visiting Marin, I decided to take a chance and try a "walk in" appt. ( but i made an appt). I did not know a thing about the salon. But i liked the name Ipanema. I got an appointment with Alfredo. Oh I hadnt had a man cut my hair in decades bc the last one that did, did a terrible job. Alfredo was so professional, warm, listened to what I wanted even though I kinda didnt know what I wanted. But he read between the lines and did a beautiful job. ( i have thick curly hair). But not only was Alfredo wonderful , the whole office was kind, funny, warm, inviting... I would highly recommend Alfredo, 25 +years of experience, up on his game, stylish, competent , and creative.. and most import kind. The next time I go, I want to try Claudia's offering of a state of the art scalp treatment. And the parasite treatment also. Ipanema offers deep care in beauty and health. There are lots of choices out there, but come here and check this place out. It is so fascinating and fun and stylish.

I cannot speak highly enough about this salon. Drove into Marin County from Oregon, Saturday, my son was getting married Sunday, and there was a formal party Saturday night! Ipanema took me on an emergency walk-in basis, gave me a shampoo/massage to die for, and then styled my hair so beautifully many people at the wedding asked me where to go for that look. Also the interaction between the stylists was friendly and respectful, and the stylist, Alfredo, also gave me a lovely pep talk. The salon itself is pretty with very high ceilings and comfortable waiting rooms. Atmosphere was relaxed.

Ipanema Beauty Bar is fantastic! Friendly, professional staff. Alfredo did my hair (thick and tricky, but he nailed it!) and Victoria did my nails and was so sweet. Second visit and just as great as the first. Highly recommend!
