Veronica Oquendo is a licensed Cosmetologist & educator specializing in makeup artistry. Veronica has worked as the lead artist for brands like Makeup For Ever and Mac Cosmetics. She has been in the the beauty industry practicing both hair and makeup for over 10 years. Currently she is running Okendo Artistry and working as a full-time freelance hair & makeup artist.

Yes! We offer on-location services for your convenience. Additional travel fees may apply based on distance.
We recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 6–12 months in advance, to secure your date. However, we've booked weddings as little as 1 month in advance. It all depends on our availability.
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is typically due 3 days before the wedding date.

Yes! Trials are a great way to finalize your wedding day look. We recommend scheduling your trial 2–3 months before your big day.

Yes! Please bring any photos or ideas to help us create a look that reflects your vision.
We recommend allocating about 1.5 hr per person for hair or makeup. The bride’s styling usually takes about 1.5–2 hours. However this can vary based on desired hair and makeup style.
We can accommodate groups of any size. For larger parties, additional stylists may be brought in to ensure everything runs smoothly. Fees may apply depending on the amount of additional stylists.
For hair, arrive with clean, dry hair unless otherwise instructed. For makeup, come with a clean, moisturized face.

    Absolutely Amazing Makeup Artist!

    My experience with Veronica was an absolutely incredible one. From my first meeting with her I told her what I wanted, I did a trial run with her for my engagement photos and I loved it. She is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing, she listens to her clients and take notes on what they asked for and delivers. I do not regret using her to do my makeup for my engagement photos and for my wedding. My makeup was flawless and I got many compliments. I love the fact that she did not add too many products on my face. I did not even have to use the touch up kit she gave me because my makeup lasted the whole night. I would definitely recommend her for any occasions you have coming up!

    My princess dreams come true!

    Veronica perfectly matched my princess vibes! Our trial was beautiful and with a few tweaks for the camera it was absolute perfection on the big day. On wedding morning she and her second artist were on time, so personable and made everyone feel so happy and beautiful! I would choose VGlam over and over!!

    The BEST makeup artist!!!

    The number one thing people said to me when they said hello was “wow your makeup looks beautiful.” Veronica is SO talented, that alone is enough of a reason to choose her as your makeup artist. But not only did she do an incredible job, she was so caring and kind, and she and her team brought great vibes to the getting ready space. Two weeks before my wedding I had a really bad breakout and had some textured and hyperpigmented spots on my face. I was so worried and insecure about them. I emailed her as a heads up and asked if there was anything she recommended doing. She wrote me back right away with a compassionate, thorough, and extremely helpful response. I got the things she suggested, which I’ll be using from now on and she was able to cover the remaining spots perfectly. No one could tell they were there and it lasted all night through hugs and dancing. I felt so confident on my wedding day because of her. And my girls were absolutely glowing. HIGHLY recommend hiring her!!

    BOOK HER‍️

    Veronica was amazing, we did the trial hair and make up, which turned out stunning!! But last minute I changed my mind on the style of hair (based off of my dress) and she killed it regardless! She listens to your preferences and makes sure you get exactly what you want. Her makeup DOES NOT MOVE. All night long my makeup was flawless, I didn’t even use my touch up bag she gave me! would HIGHLY recommend

    Late to the Ceremony :(

    Veronica had a communication style that started off well during the pre-booking and trial phases but then became standoffish as the wedding got closer. I didn’t love the trial and I explained why and she said she’d make my requested changes. On the day the quality of her work was okay I sent tons of inspo and communicated what I wanted multiple times but still had to have her change things on the day to get closer to what I wanted. My hair lasted very well but the eye makeup started creasing early on and honestly in photos my makeup didn’t really pop the way I hoped it would, I felt how I feel when I do my own makeup for a regular day just with lashes. She didn’t even do the collarbone highlight she has advertised in the package. It really wasn't worth what I paid for the services especially because she made me pay for an additional artist or else she’d make me start the schedule at 3AM. (Of course she waited until right before the wedding day to tell me that) Then on the day everyone else was ready super early, so she ended up sending the other two artists home even though I wasn’t even close to being ready, she decided to do both my hair and makeup by herself which made me late for my own ceremony. The beginning of my wedding was stolen from me because I was late and I spent it anxious and nauseated instead of happy and excited. I didn’t even have time for bridal portraits, I have very few photos because my photographer showed up on time and I was running so behind. And to top it off, the chair she brought had a rigged up footrest that fell off when my sister put her feet on it, and the artist made a big fuss about possibly charging me for it. She did not end up charging me but to shame my sister and freak me out on my wedding day just was not professional. The whole experience really put a damper on the vibes of our special day. I was between hiring for makeup to take the stress off myself and doing it myself if I could go back I’d buy myself tons of fancy makeup and brushes and do it myself because it turns out I was stressed anyway.
