Officiant/Minister

Sheryl is an experienced wedding officiant based in Apex, North Carolina, serving couples throughout the Triangle and beyond. Her journey began while serving in the U.S. Army, when an ordained minister took her under his wing. What started with ceremonies for friends and family grew through word of mouth into a thriving business. Today, after more than 1,000 weddings, Sheryl creates heartfelt, personalized ceremonies for couples of all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions.

With more than 1,000 ceremonies performed, including a wedding at Walt Disney World, Sheryl brings confidence, warmth, and calm to every celebration. She creates each ceremony around the couple’s story, values, and vision rather than using a one-size-fits-all script. Ordained through an established brick-and-mortar church, she understands North Carolina marriage requirements and handles the details, timing, and unexpected moments so couples can relax and enjoy saying “I do.”

    Absolutely perfect!

    Sheryl was absolutely amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about her. The ceremony she did was exactly how we envisioned and she was amazing through out the whole process. I’d recommend her again and again and again! The love story she wrote for us was also perfect. Guests were raving over it!

For NJ weddings, call the township you live in, make an appointment to apply for the license (the township will tell you what is required with that), and then pick up your marriage license approximately 2-4 weeks before the wedding ceremony (if it's sooner than that, it's fine. But do not pick up the license until you are less than 4 weeks away). You bring the license with you on the day of the ceremony which your officiant and two witnesses will sign immediately after the ceremony. Your officiant will then take care of registering the license in the town where the ceremony was performed.
After you decide you want to book with us, we will send you a link for our online contract. Once that is signed and the retainer fee is paid, your officiant will send you their name, address, and phone number to provide to the township when applying for the marriage license. They will also send over any relevant documents depending on which package and options you have chosen. From there, the process for bringing your dream ceremony to life begins!
We sure do! Every package includes up to 10 miles. Any additional mileage over 10 miles would be $1/mile (one way). Ex. If the location is 20 miles away, the travel charge is just $10.
We can! If you are in need of one or both witnesses needed for the ceremony, we can provide them at the cost of $50 per witness (plus any applicable travel).
Our team comes from a variety of religious backgrounds but recognizes all religions and will conduct a ceremony that reflects your personal beliefs and values.
Yes. Love is love! And we'd especially love to officiate your wedding.
Absolutely. Everyone is an ordained minister and legally recognized by the State of NJ to perform wedding ceremonies, as well as certified and registered with several other states.
Anything you'd like! We love crazy, interesting ideas that can let our creative minds go to work! Whatever you're envisioning, don't be afraid to share it with us!
We do that, too! Whether you already got married without telling anyone, or just simply did a court ceremony and now want one with friends and family, we are more than willing to conduct a full ceremony tailored to your needs. Only difference is, there is no marriage license to sign afterwards!
