Andy is such a lovely person, and we knew immediately after talking with him that we wanted him to be a part of our wedding. He is an incredible speaker and truly a wedding professional. From the very beginning, he made the entire process feel so personal and intentional. Everyone absolutely loved him and the beautiful story he helped us put together for our ceremony. He took the time to really get to know us and made sure the ceremony felt like us. He made everything go exactly the way I had envisioned, while also giving us thoughtful tips that helped the ceremony flow so naturally. And his voice… truly out of a fairytale. It is so warm, calming, and beautiful that it made the entire ceremony feel even more magical. Andy was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we are so grateful he was the one who stood up there with us on such an important day. We could not recommend him more!

Thank you so much for such a beautiful review! It truly means a lot to me. From our very first conversation, I could see how special you and Stephen are together, and it was an absolute joy getting to know you both. Helping you tell your story and create a ceremony that felt personal, relaxed, and completely true to the two of you was such an honor. I’m so glad that you and your guests loved the ceremony. And thank you for the sweet words about my voice! I’ll happily take “fairytale” any day. More than anything, I’m grateful that you and Stephen trusted me to stand with you on such an important day. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and many beautiful years together.

Never answered the phone when trying to book an appointment

Hi Carolyn, thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry we missed connecting by phone. Occasionally I’m with clients or conducting a ceremony, which can prevent me from answering right away. I wasn’t able to locate a voicemail from you, so it’s possible I didn’t receive a message to return your call. Please feel free to reach out again or send a quick text or email so I can assist you promptly with booking your appointment.

Andy is passionate about not just marrying couples who are in love, but getting them off to a great start with pre-marital counseling and a special ceremony. He takes time to craft a beautiful and special ceremony that will be more memorable than the party after. If you're looking for an officiant who does far more than just sign the paper, you definitely need to contact Andy.

Thank you so much, Emily, for sharing such thoughtful words! It means a great deal that you noticed the care and attention I put into creating meaningful ceremonies and guiding couples through their marriage preparation. I’m grateful when others can see the heart behind what I do and the importance of helping couples start their journey on a strong foundation.

I had the pleasure of attending a wedding that Andy officiated and he was amazing. He did such a good job personalizing the ceremony that I thought he had known the couple for years. Also, he worked in the perfect amount of humor and his accent was very enjoyable to hear. He would make a great officiant for any wedding.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Dorie! I'm truly happy to hear how much you enjoyed the ceremony—it means a lot to me to receive feedback from guests and couples alike. My goal is always to create a ceremony that feels personal, heartfelt, and memorable for everyone in attendance. I'm thrilled that the personalization, humor, and little touches came through for you. Your thoughtful note made my day!

Anna Louise and Chip, Thank you so much for your kind words! It was such a joy getting to know you both and creating a ceremony that truly reflected your love story. I’m honored to have played a part in your special day and wish you a lifetime filled with joy, laughter, and beautiful memories together.

Yes, and it's my favorite part of this work. I don't use a template. I sit down with you both, listen to how you found each other, and write your ceremony from scratch, so what your guests hear genuinely sounds like the two of you. Traditional or not, faith-filled or faith-optional, handfasting, the lasso and 13 coins, your own vows, the people you love standing beside you... whatever you desire, I build it around what matters to you. Eloping? Personal has nothing to do with size of your wedding or guest list. We plan over Zoom, so out-of-state is easy, and your script is in your hands well before the day for your review.
Yes, and one rehearsal is included. Most couples tell me it settles their nerves more than anything else we do. We walk the processional, set spacing and timing, figure out who stands where, and answer the questions nobody thinks of until everyone is actually standing in the space. If you work with a wedding planner, I am there to assist. The included rehearsal covers venues within about 30 miles of Savannah. Farther out or a destination wedding, and I am glad to be there, I just quote the travel separately. If a rehearsal is not possible, no problem. I will walk you through everything ahead of time so the day still feels easy.
Provide, yes. Require, never. Your ceremony stands on its own either way. That said, it is the part of my work I care about most, because the marriage matters more than the wedding. I am a certified facilitator for SYMBIS, short for Save Your Marriage Before It Starts. You each take an online assessment, then we meet for five sessions on communication, money, conflict, expectations, and family etc. It is not therapy and nothing is wrong with you. Add it to your ceremony or book it on its own. We meet over Zoom, and couples often say it made the wedding day itself feel calmer.
Yes, and these are some of my favorite ceremonies to write. Couples come to me after a courthouse wedding, a small ceremony overseas, or years of marriage they never got to celebrate in front of the people they love. Nothing legal has to happen for the day to matter. I do ask for a copy of your marriage license, simply so I have it on file and we are both clear that no signing is needed. From there, we build whatever you want: a full ceremony with vows and readings, a renewal, a blessing, or something quiet with just the two of you.
Since 2017, so going on nine years. It started when my niece asked me to officiate her wedding, and that one ceremony turned into the work I care about most. Since then I have married couples across Savannah, Tybee, Hilton Head, the Georgia coast, and as far as Cincinnati. What keeps me at it is that no two ceremonies are alike, so I still write every one from scratch. The experience mostly shows up in small ways: keeping a nervous couple loose, handling a surprise mid-ceremony without anyone noticing, and making sure your guests feel like they were part of something.
More than 500 since 2017. Courthouse-simple elopements, backyard weddings, barns, beaches, ballrooms, and a few that moved indoors twenty minutes before go time. I mention the number only because of what it buys you: almost nothing surprises me anymore. Rain, a late bridal party, a ring that will not come off, a family dynamic that needs careful handling. You get to be present on your wedding day instead of managing it. What has not changed in 500 ceremonies is that I still write every one from scratch. Yours will not sound like anyone else's.
