I'm a practicing witch and ordained minister with 15 years of event design experience, professional wedding planning education, and 200+ ceremonies under my belt.     The best officiant we could have hoped for!

    I very recently got married, and the planning leading up to the wedding went so smoothly and so quickly! Venue, florals, photography- things got checked off our list with relative ease. Then we got a bit stuck- we needed an officiant! It can seem like a simple pick, but if you don’t want to have a friend or family get ordained, and you’re not a member of a traditional religion, it can be a harder match to make. But then, we found Tara at Witchy Woman Weddings and reached out immediately. We’re so glad we did!! Inquiry was simple and responses were fast. We only spoke through email leading up to the day itself, but Tara does have the option to book meetings if you’d prefer some face-to-face contact in the lead up to your big day. She has such a peaceful and warm presence that, even if you’re meeting her for the first time at the altar for the ceremony as I did, you feel that calm and kind energy emanating towards you. The process for creating your ceremony script is both easy and personalized- Tara has an in-depth questionnaire to fill out that covers a wide range of topics so she can tailor the ceremony to your unique story and the vibe you’re aiming to create. It really covers all the bases but doesn’t feel daunting to complete. After that, she delivers a sample script and makes sure to note that edits can be made if there is anything you want changed- we didn’t make a single change to ours! We got emotional just reading through our draft and were amazed at how she captured us in the writing. To sum all this up, I am beyond grateful to have found Tara. She was the perfect person to join us together, mixing elements of both the traditional and the not-so-traditional on our Friday the 13th wedding. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a truly special, unique, and heartfelt ceremony. At the risk of sounding a little cheesy, she truly helped make our day a magical one!

    A Witchy Winter Wedding

    What an amazing experience we had! She really took into account all of the special moments we wanted, our relationship, and really made the ceremony feel super special. She also made sure to give a little history lesson on handfasting to the guests prior to the ceremony which everyone who attended said they LOVED. They thought the ceremony was so unique and special and we thought so too. Can’t recommend her enough!!!

    Incredible!

    From the moment my wife and I first connected with Tara, we knew we had found our perfect officiant. Her warm, kind, and genuinely positive energy instantly made us feel comfortable, as if we were talking to an old friend. As an out-of-town couple, we were so grateful for her support and knowledge of the Salem area. She not only crafted a ceremony that was deeply personal and beautifully written but also helped us with photographer recommendations, and also helped us with particulars related to the venue and the marriage license application. Everything went smoothly because of Tara's knowledge, dedication, and professionalism. She is truly committed to her work. Furthermore, Tara has an incredible gift for listening and truly understanding what a couple wants. She wove our story and vows into a ceremony that felt authentic and meaningful to us.     Amazing and Magical

    From the moment I came across Tara’s website, I knew that she was the perfect officiant for us! I immediately showed my fiancé, he agreed, and we booked her without hesitation. Her questionnaire is very in depth so that she can cover every possible detail to put together the most perfect ceremony script, and she didn’t hesitate with our requested minor edits. My fiancé is Pagan, I am non-religious but spiritual, and she crafted a traditional/Viking vibe wedding that blended the both of us together seamlessly. She has an amazing soothing energy about her and crafted a beautiful ceremony, including the most beautiful handfasting ceremony, that she put so much time and thought into to be sure that it was perfect for us. So many of our guests came up to us after the ceremony and said, “omg where did you find your officiant, she was amazing!” and several even said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We can’t recommend her enough; she made our wedding a magical day that we will cherish forever.

    Absolutely Incredible

    Tara was absolutely incredible from beginning to end. She went above and beyond to make our elopement at Hammond Castle perfect. From helping us navigate the Massachusetts court system to ensure a stress-free marriage process, to crafting the most heartfelt ceremony that beautifully told our love story with stunning attention to detail—she truly did it all. Her communication throughout the planning process was exceptional, leaving no question unanswered and making us feel completely supported every step of the way. Her elegant, witchy, and grounding energy created such a comfortable and magical atmosphere that made our day unforgettable. From the moment I found her over a year ago while searching for officiants in Salem, I knew she was the one, and she exceeded every expectation. We’ve only been married for a few weeks and are already talking about coming back for a vow renewal someday and we wouldn’t want anyone but Tara to officiate.
