    The Best Photographer EVER

Oh my gosh… Crystal is a beast in the best way. From the second she walked in, she owned the day—in the most fun, calm, keep-it-all-together way. She brought this energy that instantly made everyone feel like they could actually enjoy the day instead of stressing about timelines or what was coming next. She somehow kept everything running smoothly without ever making it feel rushed or staged—just this perfect mix of organized and laid back that every bride dreams of. And the photos… I can’t even explain. They’re stunning. The kind of pictures you look at a hundred times and still find yourself tearing up or laughing because they bring the whole day flooding back. Crystal didn’t just deliver a gallery; she delivered the feeling of our wedding, bottled up in the most beautiful way. If you’re even thinking about booking her—stop thinking and do it. Hands down, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

Always my go to wedding photographer

I’ve been in the wedding industry for over 12 years, and in that time I’ve built strong connections with vendors—some wonderful, some not the right fit. Our job as professionals is to help clients find the people who meet their needs, because no one vendor is right for everyone. That’s the beauty of this industry: there’s truly someone for every couple. One of my go-to recommendations has always been A Wave of the Wand Photography. I’ve worked with Crystal for years, and she is consistently professional, efficient, and dedicated to her clients. She does her job, and she does it well. That’s why it’s been painful to see recent misleading comments—especially when they don’t even come from actual clients. I’ve watched a post spread from a Facebook group to the Better Business Bureau. The truth is simple: this is not a client complaint. This is a family member twisting the story and trying to drag down a professional who was simply doing her job. The condescending tone, the personal attacks, and the attempt to discredit her are not just unfair—they’re harassment. Here’s the reality: Crystal knows exactly how to do her job. When I work a wedding with her, I know my clients are in good hands because she will keep them on time, wrangle the family, and still deliver with professionalism. That’s one of the things I admire most—she is direct, she doesn’t let things spiral, and she gets it done. If you think you can just show up at a wedding and dictate to the professionals, you’ve got another thing coming. And here’s the irony: the very things this family member is upset about are exactly what couples should want from their photographer. A professional photographer isn’t there to smile and nod while chaos builds—they are there to manage time, guide the flow, and ensure the couple actually gets the images they hired them for. Weddings run on timelines. Every minute matters. That’s not “rude.” That’s professionalism. I would expect—no, I would hope—that my photographer would step up and say, “This won’t work, but here’s an alternative.” That is how a wedding day stays on track. Directness is not disrespect; it’s exactly what clients are paying for. Communication and decision-making belong between vendor and client, period. Family members, no matter how well-intentioned, are not privy to the months of planning conversations. To assume authority and then publicly attack a vendor for holding the line is unacceptable. I’ve worked alongside Crystal many times and never once seen her behave the way this client’s sister is claiming. What I have seen is her keeping everything in line, making sure the day flows smoothly, and protecting the expectations of the clients who hired her. The actual client hasn’t voiced a single complaint—which proves these attacks are nothing more than noise. Crystal has over 14 years of experience and a reputation for delivering. She does not deserve to be dragged through the mud by someone who was never her client. As a fellow vendor, I will not sit back and watch an industry friend be targeted. This business is hard enough without outsiders spreading harassment and trying to destroy reputations. I stand with A Wave of the Wand Photography. I respect Crystal for protecting her clients, honoring her contracts, and refusing to be intimidated. That is the mark of a true professional.

    Love love love!!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with how amazing Crystal was as our wedding photographer. We were originally booked with another photographer who completely ghosted us just two days before the wedding. They texted to say they couldn’t make it, leaving us stranded and with no photographer just days before the big day. I was beyond stressed, having read so many horror stories in Facebook groups about photographers bailing on couples. While some brides exaggerate these situations to find a cheaper photographer, I genuinely believed I had booked someone reliable. Life just happened, and we were left scrambling. I reached out in Facebook groups for recommendations, but many photographers were charging nearly double for last-minute bookings, and some didn’t even respond. Then, Crystal commented on one of my posts saying she was available. I looked at her work and loved her clean, timeless style. Her photos felt natural—nothing looked staged or out of place. I reached out, and to my surprise, she responded within an hour or two after I filled out a request form on her website. She was incredibly attentive, always answering my questions quickly and thoroughly. This was something many other photographers didn’t do—her communication was top-notch. When I called Crystal to discuss her services, she mentioned she doesn’t like to push for more photos. That was a huge relief since I didn’t want to feel pressured into constant photoshoots. She helped put together a timeline to maximize our time together, making it clear that if things ran late, it would cut into our photo time. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was about weddings and how everything worked. That, for me, was the biggest selling point. Crystal wasn’t just a photographer; she was someone who understood how to make the most out of the day. The thing that stood out most was how she kept telling me, "It’s your day, we can do whatever you want." I loved that flexibility, but she also honestly warned me that if we deviated from the timeline, we might miss some photo opportunities or have fewer photos. I really appreciated her honesty and straightforwardness. Part of her process includes sending a detailed packet about a month before the wedding. It seemed like a lot, but it was so helpful! After I filled it out, she called to go over everything and work on the timeline together. Even my venue coordinator didn’t do that, and I really appreciated Crystal’s level of care and attention to detail. On the wedding day, Crystal made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I’m not a huge picture-taker, and while I wanted every moment captured, I didn’t want to be pressured to do constant photoshoots. Weddings are hectic, and the day was busy. But I really appreciated how Crystal understood when I needed a break. She gave me time to enjoy the music, drinks, and moments with family and friends without pushing me for more photos. Yes, I knew I might not get as many photos, but the ones she did capture are perfect—beautiful, natural, and full of emotion. Booking with Crystal was one of the best decisions I made. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and at ease, and that meant so much to me. If you're looking for someone dependable, professional, and genuinely caring about capturing your day in the most beautiful, authentic way, I highly recommend her. Thank you, Crystal, for being such a huge part of our unforgettable day!

    Amazing!!

Oh my gosh, I cannot say enough good things about Crystal!! From the moment we booked her, she made everything so easy and fun. On the wedding day, she was such a calming and fun presence, and somehow captured every little moment so perfectly. When we got our photos back, I was completely obsessed—seriously, they are STUNNING!! I’ve looked through them a million times already, and I keep finding new favorites. If you’re thinking about booking her, DO IT. Best decision ever!!

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
I personally edit all the photos that will be included in your gallery. My editing style focuses on a clean, natural look with attention to color and tone, ensuring the images reflect the true essence of your wedding day. I avoid heavy edits or extensive processing, aiming to keep the photos authentic and true to the atmosphere of your special day
My turnaround time varies depending on the season. During peak wedding season, it typically takes about 8-16 weeks to have your photos ready. Within this time frame, you’ll receive an online gallery with high-resolution image files, allowing you to share your photos with loved ones and order prints
"I do not guarantee a specific number of images for any of my packages. The amount of photos you receive will vary based on factors such as your wedding package, the number of guests, venue type, and other details. Typically, clients can expect between 400-800 images, but this can vary. Each wedding is unique to the couple, and the gallery will reflect that individuality.
Most galleries end up being about 70–80% colour and 20–30% black and white, though it really depends on the light and mood of the day. If a photo looks beautiful both ways, I’ll often give you both versions.
All bookings are first come, first served. A signed contract and retainer are needed to officially reserve your date.
Amazing! Once you're ready to move forward, I’ll send over a contract to sign and payment information. I send over an email explaining in detail the package selected and pricing and payment information.
