I’m Cherlyn (rhymes with Berlin). So nice to e-meet you! If we met in person and it wasn’t during a pandemic- I would probably hug you! I’m an introvert-extrovert and tend to ramble too much when I get nervous. In emails - I tend to use exclamation points a lot!! (and will agonize over my drafts of emails before sending them because they probably have one too many!!) My aim as your photographer is to provide a memorable experience where you two feel comfortable, taken care of, and get to fully enjoy your wedding day as much as possible with all your guests & loved ones - whether they be in real life or via livestream!

Community focused & love centered. I document your day as it naturally unfolds while being mindful, intentional and authentic to your story, the people you've chosen to celebrate with and all the emotions of the day.

Best Wedding Photographer, Esp. for SF City Hall!
We absolutely loved working with Cherlyn for our wedding photos! She's extremely knowledgeable & talented, but also willing to work with you on ideas, budget, timing, etc. She very seamlessly fit into the day and made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. We got our photos back after like 3 weeks (not saying this will always be the case, we felt very lucky!) and are so, so pleased with them. We definitely recommend her, especially if you're looking to get married at SF City Hall! She knows her way around and will help you get all the stunning shots you're expecting at such a beautiful venue.

Talented, kind, & patient
Cherlyn captured all the candid moments you didn’t realize happened until you look at the photos after the big day. She also found beautiful angles and unique perspectives. Our wedding venue didn’t confirm until the very last minute, but Cherlyn was nothing but kind, supportive, and patient. I would trust her with any major occasion! Plus she is so talented and a lovely person to get to know.

A skilled documenter
My wife and I worked with Cherlyn for our wedding ceremony and then, one year later, for our wedding reception. On both occasions Cherlyn exceeded our expectations. Her ability to work the room and make sure everyone has a moment to shine is palpable. A specialty of Cherlyn’s is capturing candid shots that communicate the energy between people in the moment. We also appreciated the photo booth where so many of our guests were able to take a memento from the evening. We highly recommend Cherlyn for documenting your important events. She’ll ensure you don’t miss a thing!

SF elopement
Cherlyn was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer. It was reassuring to have someone with Cherlyn’s experience and knowledge with us before our ceremony at SF city hall, it made us feel more prepared. She confidently navigated the space and guided us through our photos. I had some anxiety around being photographed, but right away Cherlyn made me feel comfortable. I genuinely felt like we were in good hands the entire time and I’m grateful she was part of our day. The sneak peek photos Cherlyn sent us so far are absolutely beautiful, I could shed a happy tear each time I look at them. She captured our day so perfectly. We are excitedly awaiting the development of our film photos and super 8 video. We cannot recommend Cherlyn enough to anyone looking for a talented and thoughtful photographer who makes you feel completely at ease.

Chasing the Light
We worked with Cherlyn for our engagement and our wedding, and could not have asked for a better photographer. First and foremost, her photos are amazing. All of our family and friends who are into photography are impressed by her skills. Her ability to "chase the light" and capture those special moments led to many breathtaking photos. More importantly, Cherlyn made us feel comfortable throughout our photoshoots, especially since we are not the most extroverted couple. With her direction, we managed to look natural in our posed and candid photos, which is not an easy feat. We also appreciate how quickly Cherlyn works, as she sent over sneak peaks mere days after our engagement and our wedding. It was easy to communicate with her throughout the planning process, and we cannot thank her enough for her support. We highly recommend Cherlyn as the photographer for your event.
