I’m Dana, the photographer behind Dana Jo Photo, serving Savannah and the Lowcountry. My approach is centered around documenting your wedding as it actually felt—the people you love, the emotion, and the moments happening in between. I’ll give you direction when you need it while leaving space for the genuine moments to unfold naturally. Every wedding collection includes a complimentary engagement session and planning support leading up to your day.

I focus on the moments you can’t plan—the reactions, interactions, and little things happening in between. My approach blends documentary storytelling with thoughtful direction, so you never have to wonder what to do in front of the camera while still having space to be fully present.     Love love love her!!

    Dana was so so wonderful to work with. I didn’t think I’d feel comfortable in front of the camera, but she made it so easy!! Her editing style is BEAUTIFUL and subtle and she was the best part of our wedding preparation experience.

    Dana was a dream!

    Wedding photography

    Dana is absolutely amazing! We were lucky enough to have Dana photograph our wedding day and she captured it amazingly! It poured rain that day, yet, she was creative with an umbrella and worked her magic! My husband and I aren’t great at posing and were worried about how to stand but Dana jumped in and guided us the whole time! She helped keep the wedding on schedule and kept our family and bridal party in line for the photos. Even before the wedding day she offered her help, sample timelines, and answered any and all questions we had. We are forever grateful to look back at our beautiful photo album and reminisce on our special day. Thank you times a million Dana!!

As soon as you have your venue and wedding date officially booked! Popular dates can book well in advance, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you know your date.
Yes! A second photographer is included in my Heirloom Collection and can be added to my Signature or Timeless Collections. Having a second photographer allows for additional perspectives and coverage throughout the wedding day.
You won’t receive every image captured throughout your wedding day. I carefully select and fully edit the images that best tell the story of your day, removing duplicates, test shots, and images that don’t meet my standards. You can expect a minimum of 40 final images per hour of coverage, though I often deliver more.
You’ll receive 20+ sneak peeks within one week of your wedding. Your full gallery will typically be delivered within 6–8 weeks, with delivery taking up to 8–10 weeks during busy season. Your gallery will be delivered through a private online gallery where you can download your images, share them with loved ones, and order prints directly.
You can expect a minimum of 40 fully edited images per hour of coverage, though I often deliver more. Every wedding is different, so the final number will vary depending on your day and coverage.
I am! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability insurance, and I’ll be happy to send that over to them.
In the highly unlikely event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I will make every reasonable effort to arrange for a qualified replacement photographer to cover your day. I will still handle all editing, communication, and wedding preparation with you directly.
