Danny, Owner and Lead Photographer

Danny Pellei is a Virginia fine art wedding photographer who began his career learning under world-renowned wedding photographer Eric Kelley, shooting 20+ destination weddings across the United States. A graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in Computer Science, Danny soon realized his true passion was photography and pursued it wholeheartedly. Today, his work spans from fine art weddings to global commercial projects, taking him around the world to capture beauty in all forms.

Beyond photography, Danny finds inspiration in life’s adventures. Half Japanese, he spends several weeks each year in Japan, reconnecting with culture and family. He’s a licensed commercial drone pilot, a salsa dancer, a freediver and scuba enthusiast, and a passionate traveler—always seeking new stories, people, and places to inspire his work and life.

    Best Wedding Photographer in Virginia!

    Danny and his team are fantastic!! We hired Danny to photograph our wedding, which happened to fall on a sweltering day in August 2026. Danny’s attention to detail, his artistry, and patience in getting the most beautiful shots are unmatched. His photos truly told the story of our wedding, and looking back at them we feel as if we’re reliving that beautiful day again. It’s incredible, thanks to Danny and his brother George. My husband and I look great in all the photos of us, but we were also really moved after seeing the photos of our family and friends because he really captured their joy. Danny didn’t just shoot our wedding, he went above and beyond to engage with guests in order to capture them at their best. Because of that, I know when I look at these photos 10 years from now, I’ll appreciate them even more. If you want timeless, gorgeous, and romantic photos for your wedding or engagement, Danny is definitely your guy!     Exceptional team & attention to detail!

    I can't recommend Danny and his team enough! Their communication was always timely and demonstrated that they work as one unit. They were always ready to work with our plans and adjust to any difficulties (like rain). They also delivered on first look photos and the full album of photos in less than a two weeks! Overall, they were professional, thorough, personal, and their communication was timely and thoughtful.

    Engagement Photoshoot

    Danny truly exceeded our expectations during our surprise engagement photoshoot! He captured every moment so perfectly. My (now) fiancé and I usually feel a bit awkward in front of the camera, but Danny immediately put us at ease. He guided us with natural, flattering poses, and the photos came out incredible. They are so genuine, effortless and remarkably high-quality. He also made the entire experience an absolute blast. I found myself laughing throughout the shoot and he added to the joy of the moment without ever distracting from it. What impressed us even more was how well Danny works within your budget while delivering top-tier results. Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding and your preferences.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
You can expect at least 100 edited images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of photographers, venue type, and other factors.
Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 3-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a link with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints. Depending on the package I also provide about 100 sneak peaks within 24 hours that can be shared immediately with friends and family.
Typically, couples book about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my team's availability, especially heading into the peak season. Since I have a team I typically can have at least one of us there.
All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
I make your wedding my number one priority. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my team members, colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
