Diana Milena Photography + Film

I’m Diana, a photographer and filmmaker with a background in documentary filmmaking and cinematography. My work has taken me around the world photographing musicians, artists, people, and places, and I bring that same curiosity to weddings. I have always been interested in people and the worlds they carry with them. I’m inspired by cinema, music, wild places, beautiful light, and the strange and beautiful unpredictability of real life. I’m based in California and photograph weddings throughout the state and beyond.

I’m drawn to weddings that feel deeply connected to place. Mountains, coastlines, gardens, old houses, wind, wildflowers. To me, these aren’t simply backgrounds. The landscape, architecture, season, weather, and particular quality of light become part of the story and eventually part of our memory of what happened there. My approach comes from documentary filmmaking. I photograph digitally and use 35mm film and Lomography, and I love the clarity of digital beside the grain, softness, imperfections, and unexpected beauty of film. I want you to remember not only how your wedding looked, but what it felt like to be there.
