Duet Photography

Hi there! We're the team behind Duet Photography & Video. We're a collection of wedding photographers, filmmakers, designers, and editors. We each have our own story of how we've come to be a part of this incredibly field of wedding journalism. As individual as we are, we're all bound by the same love for our craft – the artistry of blending documentary journalism with stunning, creative vision. With over a thousand weddings under our collective belts, we've photographed and filmed weddings of every shape and size imaginable. We can't wait to document your wedding as well!

Duet's been documenting love stories since 2005, so long ago that we used to shoot videos on actual film! Now we use the most modern equipment to create stunning work, but our focus on photojournalism and storytelling has remained the same. Our mission is to deliver works that aren't just beautiful visually, but jaw dropping emotionally.

My husband and I browsed lots of video companies before landing on Duet. We liked their style and a big pet peeve of ours were video companies including lots of still videos of photo poses and it seemed like Duet didn't do that. Hanel was super easy to communicate with and he was very organized through the whole process. We purchased a highlight film with add ons of full ceremony and reception. On the day, we had Min as our videographer. He was very nice but also quiet so it didn't feel too invasive throughout the day. He even helped the groomsman with their boutonnieres as no one knew how to put one on. He worked well with our photographers from Lovely Lemons. We had slight changes throughout the day and Min rolled with them easily. We received our edits just under 2 months after our wedding, which was fast! We loved our full ceremony and reception edits but there were a few things we didn't love in our highlight film. We communicated that and Hanel was understanding and happy to have the team make the minor edits. We received the updated film less than 2 weeks later and it was perfect! It's important to me and I think all couples to have a vendor that is flexible and communicative. Given the price and the service provided, Duet is a wonderful vendor with which to work.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Duet Photography & Video for our wedding on June 13, 2026, at Sea Cliff Manor in New York, and we truly cannot recommend them enough! From the very beginning, Hanel was wonderful to work with. He was incredibly responsive, organized, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. He made everything feel seamless and gave us complete confidence that our wedding memories were in the best hands. On our wedding day, Mike, Esther, and Min were absolutely amazing. They were professional, kind, and so talented, while also making us and our families feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. They captured not only the big, beautiful moments, but also all of the little candid moments and emotions that made our wedding day so special. The photos and video are truly breathtaking. Looking through them allows us to relive our wedding day all over again, and we are so grateful that Duet was able to preserve those memories so beautifully. Their work is timeless, elegant, and captures the emotion of the day in a way that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Choosing a photographer and videographer is such an important decision for your wedding, and Duet was one of the best decisions we made. May 2026 Wedding
We couldn’t be happier with Hanel, Mike and the entire Duet team! From our engagement shoot through our wedding day, they were incredibly professional, organized, and easy to work with, which made the entire experience feel effortless. We got married on May 30 at the Village Club at Lake Success and they captured every big, emotional moment so beautifully, along with all of the candid details we didn’t even realize were happening. Our photos feel timeless, natural, and completely true to the day, while our video brought us right back to the emotion and energy of our wedding. We also added on the photobooth, and we're so glad we did! The photos came out so clear and it was a huge hit throughout the night. They also did such a great job making us feel comfortable in front of the camera while still letting the day unfold naturally. We never felt like we were constantly posing or missing out on time with our family and friends, which was really important to us. They made us feel like ourselves, and I think that really comes through in the photos and highlight video. We are so grateful to have these memories captured with so much thought and care. I genuinely can’t stop looking through our photos — they are incredible! We would wholeheartedly recommend Hanel, Mike, and the Duet team to any couple looking for people who are not only incredibly talented, but who truly care about capturing your day in a way that feels personal and authentic. May 2026 Wedding
After we got engaged in December 2025, we knew that one of the most important vendors to book for our wedding was a photographer. To kick off our search, we reviewed photographers who had previously shot at our venue, The Vineyards at Aquebogue, and this led us to finding the Duet team, which was the perfect fit. We were looking for a more natural photography style and we could not recommend a better team than Duet for this exact look and for this hugely important part of our big day. From the initial conversations to the engagement shoot to the wedding day photography and videography, Hanel and team were engaged, communicative, and incredibly helpful in, as many brides know, what can be an extremely daunting process in wedding planning and of course the day itself! With Duet, we never felt like we would not be getting the most genuine and helpful answer to our many questions, and they remained patient and professional throughout. In a process with so many moving parts and details, knowing that we could rely on Duet to be our planning partner - the center of all of the different parts to our day - was so important. No question was ever too small and everything was highly collaborative. It was no surprise that our photography came out wonderfully and that our families and friends had nothing but positive things to say about them and the team. Thank you so much to Duet for beautifully capturing our special day and all of its little moments throughout - you made the experience so easy and we could not be happier with how everything turned out!

Duet was amazing!
Highly recommend Duet to anyone & everyone! Hanel and his team are extremely skilled, professional, friendly, and responsive! They were able to capture all of our special moments for all of our multiple events and were thoughtful in making sure we got everything we wanted, and also, gave excellent suggestions to get the best moments on camera. They made our wedding day a breeze and kept everything organized and flowing smoothly. Their editing and attention to detail is also exceptional. We simply cannot thank the Duet team enough for their work & we're so happy that we have such beautiful photos that we will treasure forever!
