Hi, I'm Esther, the photographer and filmmaker behind Gracefully Rooted Photography & Film! I capture weddings, engagements, and couples with a warm, natural, romantic style. My approach is a mix of candid moments, traditional poses, and gentle direction - because sometimes you need a pose, and sometimes you just need a little direction to let the real moment happen. I want your photos to feel like YOU: the laughs, happy tears, quiet moments, and everything in between. I also offer flexible coverage because every couple, wedding, and budget looks a little different!

I want your wedding to feel like a wedding - not an all-day photoshoot. I'll step in with posing and direction when you need it, then step back and capture the moments that happen naturally. I'm all about the little laughs, happy tears, stolen glances, and the people you love being themselves. I also offer both photography and film, plus flexible coverage options because I know every wedding, couple, and budget is different.     Absolutely amazing photographer!

    We had never done a professional photo shoot before, and Gracefully Rooted Homestead made the whole experience easy and exciting from start to finish. The photographer is genuinely warm and relatable, which put us at ease the moment we met her. Our photos came back flawless and arrived faster than we expected. Absolutely! My packages give you a starting point, but I understand that every wedding and budget looks different. If you love my work but your budget doesn't quite fit one of my standard packages, reach out anyway! I'm happy to talk about what matters most to you and see if we can customize the amount of coverage or services to create an option that works for both of us.
Yes! Iowa and Wisconsin are my primary service areas, and I'm also available throughout the surrounding Midwest and beyond. Weddings outside of my standard service area may include an additional travel fee based on the location and travel required. If you're unsure whether I travel to your wedding location, just ask - I'm always excited to hear where your story is taking you!
