Hello! I’m Michael, but you can call me Mike! I’m a wedding photographer based on California’s Central Coast, serving San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, and beyond. I launched Michael Stephens Photography in 2010 and have photographed more than 550 weddings. I love helping couples feel comfortable, laugh together, and enjoy their celebration while creating natural, personal images they’ll treasure for years.

With more than 550 weddings photographed, I bring a calm, experienced presence and a personal approach to every celebration. I’ll help you feel at ease in front of the camera while creating natural images that feel like you.     Picture Perfect

    Michael did a stellar job documenting our big day! He was unobtrusive during the ceremony, super creative with the bridal party shoot, and very effective at capturing key moments during our crowded and chaotic reception. The pictures came out beautifully, and several of our guests remarked at how personable and charming he was. He even stepped in to help keep us organized and on schedule during the reception.     Phenomenal Photographer

    We are so very glad that we found Michael to do our wedding and engagement photos! He came on recommendation from a great videographer in the area. From the minute we booked with him we got exceptional service and quality product. He made us feel very much at ease in doing our engagement photos. He knew where the best locations were and how to tell us to pose (or not pose). On the day of our wedding he took control of the kinds of photos he knew we wanted. The photos came back in a very timely manner and were outstanding. Our friends often comment on how beautifully done they are. He was so good that we continue to book him every single time we need photos taken. The walls in our house are covered in Michael's photos and they are absolutely gorgeous.
