Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm the photographer and heart behind R Photos, based in Chattanooga and serving couples across Knoxville, Nashville, the Smoky Mountains, and beyond. I've been photographing weddings and elopements for 8+ years, and I still get butterflies every single time. My approach is simple: document first, curate second. I'm there as a quiet witness to your day, capturing the real, unscripted moments as they happen rather than staging everything from scratch. All are welcome here, and I'd love to be part of your story.

I bring a documentary-first eye backed by a degree in Graphic Design and Photography, so every gallery feels both authentic and intentional. My editing style is warm and golden with a nostalgic, filmy feel, so your photos will feel just as meaningful years from now as they do the day you get them.     Felt Like Family, Delivered Pure Magic!

On the wedding day itself, she blended in effortlessly. Spending eight hours with our closest family and friends, she brought a calm, warm presence that immediately put everyone at ease—by the end of the day, having her there felt less like having a vendor and more like having a trusted member of the family by our side.     Easiest decision of our wedding

    There are so many decisions that go into planning a wedding, but the moment we knew we wanted to get married back in our hometown, Rachel was the first person I contacted. We had such a specific vintage vision for our wedding, and Rachel somehow understood exactly what we were trying to create. She didn't just take beautiful photos—she captured the feeling we wanted the day to have. The warmth, the nostalgia, the romance, all of it. When I look back through our photos, I can literally hear Etta James playing in the background. They feel timeless in a way that I know we'll still love looking at decades from now. Beyond how talented she is, Rachel is someone you genuinely want around on your wedding day.     Highly recommend R Photos!

    Rachel with R Photos is not just a talented photographer. She handled the planning and coordinating of my Tennessee elopement efficiently with every detail I requested in mind. On the way to the ceremony my husband and I got lost and did not have signal, so we were panicking and super late. Rachel calmed us down and assured us we would make it and she still gave us all the time we had originally planned to take photos, which turned out STUNNINGLY AMAZING! She captured the vibe I wanted perfectly, and the location she helped pick couldn't have been more perfect. I got my mountain views and my wildflowers. I can not recommend her enough if you are planning an elopement. Even the officiant and vendors she used for us were top tier. My bouquet was gorgeous. Cake was delicious and adorable. I literally can not stop looking at the photos and showing them to everyone. It will be nearly impossible to choose which ones to hang on the wall! Rachel is so cool and super talented. You will not regret choosing her for any of your photography needs especially your elopement.
