I specialize in making space for people to be their authentic selves, and being able to notice and capture those moments when they happen. I work with a simple hourly pricing model, and offer discounts for payment up front, and to LGBTQ+ couples.🏳️‍🌈 My favorite things: nontraditional weddings, getting to include your dog, music, queer and gender nonconforming wedding clothing, beautiful lighting, improvising and making it work on the day©, my tendency to overpack and always have snacks, tools and a first aid kit nearby.

Every wedding project begins with a conversation about your plans and hopes for the day, and for us to get to know one another. No two weddings are alike, so my goal is always to capture what's unique and beautiful about the two of you - not just how you look every day, but how you look to the people who love you.

    Steve is a wonderful photographer, a visual magician. He is the official photographer for the Vashon Weird Music Night concerts which I MC. He captures the feel of the shows. He's an artist. His dog photos are as great as his concert pix. Great to work with.

    Steve is a super chill dude, clearly has a great eye and snapped some gorgeous shots for my senior, Steve was able to connect with my kid on music and create an environment that allowed him to capture the love my son has for his truck and for his late grandpas guitar. Massive gratitude from this proud mama, I couldn’t have taken such quality shots, or gotten him to chill like Steve did, lol, so thanks to Steve for presenting these genuine shots of my baby boys last year in high school.

Typically, couples book me 6-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Typically I deliver 25-50 finished, edited images per hour of shoot time, more when we do posed shots with family members. Before a wedding, I always speak with the couple about important moments they'd like captured, like a recent wedding where the couple wanted to jump off the stage holding hands. (They came out great!)
I typically deliver a preview of a few dozen best-of images within a week of your wedding, and the rest within 30 days. Rush processing is available for an extra fee, and you're always welcome to request specific images you'd like me to prioritize.
Yes, I have several photographers I work with as second shooters, depending on availability and who I think will be the best fit for your location and overall vibe. My packages of six or more hours include a second shooter for the ceremony at no additional cost, or they can be added to any package if you'd like additional coverage.
I do! I carry up to 1m in business liability insurance.
