Thank you for visiting my page! I hope you'll consider this a virtual, and excellent, handshake. I have been photographing odds & ends since I was just a little kiddo, and professionally for more than 20 years, and I can say with complete certainty that I LOVE what I do. Here are some other little factoids about me, if you're interested in getting to know me better: *I love animals and love working with them, and often donate services to great animal welfare causes. *I love all things vintage and antique, and feel that older things tell a fascinating and unique story.

*I got my BFA at Alfred U in the lovely Finger Lakes area of NY. After 18 years in the equally lovely Seattle area, I have returned to be near family, raise our kids, and dig in the warm earth on our little attempt at a permaculture farm! *I love music of all kinds, and dance parties happen in our kitchen daily. *I am a serious lover of the outdoors, and mother earth inspires me everyday! And, after growing up near NYC, I can say that I finally adore camping, and have finally stopped falling down every time I go snowboarding. Get in touch and share some info about you!

    Distinctive and memorable style

    Sara Tro Photography is an absolute delight to work with! I own a venue and after seeing photos of Sara's past work, I added her to my preferred vendor list.     Wonderful photographer!

    We LOVE our wedding photos from Sara! I not only had Sara take the photos at my own wedding, but as a wedding planner, I highly recommend Sara to the couples I work with - she is absolutely lovely to work with, and takes truly amazing photos.

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 2-3 months after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

Definitely. All final images will be artistically edited to bring out the best in each image. I create vintage inspired versions of my favorite edited original files, as well. And I also often remove distracting elements from select images, such as exit signs, if it’s possible.
In my 23 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
Yes, I also create Fine Art Wedding Films. At this time I can only create your still photographs OR a wedding film, but I cannot offer both simultaneously.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
