About Tide and True Photography
Tide and True Photography
I am a wedding photographer. AND I'm a wedding photographer with a altruistic approach. Which mean I bring my whole self to the table, and care about you and your vision. I want to get to know you then partner with you to create. In the past I've worked for a florist, I'm a veteran, I keep bees, run a small farm, briefly ran a salon; I bring every experience from my life to the table for your wedding. My bag has everything from hair ties to hammers in it!
Photography is more than taking pictures. Okay, it is a lot of taking pictures (AND I LOVE THAT)! I wake up in the morning of a day when I get to practice my art full of all the feelings that I get to make art that day, it's amazing. So yes I take pictures....AND. I'm your partner through when you book me, to when your gallery gets delivered. Do you have questions on timing, outfits, decor, hair styles, anything call me I'd love to chat. Need hair re-pinned, a quick stitch in something, a spare necklace or watch? I gotchu. I'm here to crack a dad joke, talk about my kids or bees, or just listen to the latest tea in your life!

Reliable, Personable, and Communicative
My family has worked with Tim on at least 3 occasions and then hired him for our wedding. He is amazing and personable, and he came with extras that most people wouldn't think of! He was ready to work with everyone and even caught some pictures of our uncooperative and tired 4-year-old, which is a success all by itself. He was kind and ready to capture every moment we asked of him. Tim is wonderful at what he does, and we couldn't be happier to have hired Tide and True!

Fantastic
We could not have picked a better match for our wedding when we chose Tim for our photos. He is exceptional and fun, and very quickly helped us settle into feeling more like he was our friend than someone we hired. He is so knowledgeable and always makes the time to answer questions, big or small- and to top it off he was the calming presence on our big day that helped keep everything together. We cannot wait to see our wedding photos (our engagement photos were outstanding!) and look forward to being able to hire Tim for many more events and shoots in the future.

The best photographer!
Tim is professional, funny, and wonderful to work with. He had everything a bride could possibly need as a photographer, along with lightening the mood of my extended family who aren't all photo-loving people! He tied the reception together well too. All around a great experience and I recommend Tim to anyone. He was much more than a photographer for us. 11/10!!

Amazing
Tim has brought my visions to life with his photography. I have a crazy idea he just jumps and says let’s do it. He’s honest and will tell me if he thinks it won’t make for good pictures and helps me get the picture I’m thinking of without knowing what I want. Direct, communicative, prompt, and great work!
From our first conversation with Tide and True Photography, Tim was responsive and straightforward about what to expect, which made planning feel easy. Day of, Tim showed up as both a skilled photographer and a calming presence. He was cracking jokes to settle our nerves while staying professional. Tim was very efficient at directing people without overdoing the posing. His confidence in positioning everyone meant things moved quickly, so we weren't waiting around between shots. Tim is also very mindful of scheduling and prioritizing whose photos to take first when a family member needed to step away! The photos are stunning and truly worth every penny we invested. Tim managed to capture all the moments that mattered while keeping the day fun and relaxed, which is exactly what we needed. We plan to hire him again in the future and would absolutely recommend Tide and True Photography to any couple looking for a photographer who cares about the experience, not just the final images.
