Wedding planner- day of
Working with Rebekah at Southern Belle Weddings was truly a game-changer for our wedding day. From start to finish, she kept us informed through emails, texts, and detailed Zoom calls with PowerPoint presentations that made every decision clear and simple. Rebekah acted as my personal assistant throughout the entire planning process, handling the logistics while keeping our timeline running smoothly and stress-free. Her professionalism and attention to detail showed in every aspect of our wedding, and honestly, I could not have done it without her. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it. I cannot recommend Rebekah and Southern Belle Weddings enough to any couple looking for a planner who truly cares about making their day special.
Rebekah Russell•Oct 7, 2026Thank you for the kind words, Keely! I absolutely loved working with the two of you and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Do not hire
You normally hire a day of wedding coordinator to take some of the stress off yourself (bride) and family/bridesmaids. Unfortunately for me, I hired Rebekah and all she did was create more stress for us. You would think she uses critical thinking to solve problems. But last time I checked, the husband and brides names are not “critical thinking”. I have a laundry list of things she did/did not do yet once confronted days after the wedding, she easily blamed everyone but herself for her mistakes. But to keep it short, if you want a relaxing wedding day, if you want someone capable of correctly hitting play on your video camera to record your ceremony, or someone to pay attention to detail such as setting up the bride/grooms cake or turning on lights before the reception starts, or someone that will not solely interrupt the bride/groom mid conversation multiple times throughout the night over dumb things, then do NOT hire Rebekah. I’m not one to bash on small businesses ever, though your goal is to get married once. So save yourself the stress and find someone else for your own sanity.
Rebekah Russell•Sep 28, 2026Thank you for sharing your perspective. I’m sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. There are several statements in this review that I do not believe accurately reflect what occurred, but I also recognize that a wedding day can be stressful and that couples may experience the same events very differently. After the wedding, I carefully reviewed the concerns raised with me, including the items mentioned here, against the services outlined in our agreement and the circumstances of the day. My role as a day-of coordinator is to provide professional coordination, timeline management, vendor communication, setup assistance within the agreed scope, and problem-solving throughout the wedding day. On this wedding, I remained on-site beyond my contracted hours and worked alongside my assistant throughout the day to address changing circumstances, vendor needs, and last-minute requests. Some of the concerns mentioned in this review involved circumstances that were outside my control, changes made on the wedding day, or responsibilities that were not included in my contracted services. That does not mean I dismiss the couple’s frustration, but I do believe it is important to distinguish between something being disappointing and something being a failure to fulfill a contracted responsibility. I take every couple’s feedback seriously and continually look for ways to improve my processes. At the same time, I stand behind the work I provided on this wedding and the decisions I made based on the information and circumstances available to me that day. I wish the couple all the best as they begin this next chapter together.

DISAPPOINTED
Leaving one star because they won't allow me to leave less... Hire Rebekah if you want your wedding day to be full of headaches, broken promises, and general annoyance. She will lie to you about what she services she can provide, communicate inadequately with the couple and vendors, help herself to food before your bridal party, talk poorly about the couple at their own wedding, and refuse to offer refunds for her terrible services.
Rebekah Russell•Sep 28, 2026Both 1 star reviews are about the same wedding. I have communicated with the couple.
