About this venue
At Agate Acres, your wedding day flows through flower fields, forest paths, and the winding Knife River. Get ready in our colorful yurt, cozy timber cabin, or airy Loft with your favorite people around you. Choose your ceremony backdrop: a wildflower meadow, a grove of aspens, the quiet spruces, a bridge over the river, or the glowing Elmon House, our greenhouse style hoophouse and built in rain plan. Welcome guests with cocktails by the historic red barn, then move into dinner and dancing under bistro lights in the Elmon House, or kick up your heels in the Piirainen Room, a warm and rustic space made for music and movement. The Loft adds room for rehearsal dinners, lounges, or overflow seating. Farmhouse tables, wooden chairs, arbors, benches, décor accents, bonfires, and plenty of parking are all included. We provide the framework and the flowers. You bring your vision, and together we will make it magical. 🌸✨

This space is the center of events here at Agate Acres! This 76'x27' hoophouse is our main reception space. With phenomenal lighting, all the greenery growing, wooden floor, and cozy aesthetic, this is the perfect place to have dinner, dance the night away, or use as a rain date ceremony space.

Amazing venue & flowers!!
Agate Acres is an absolute gem on the North Shore! The space is beautiful with a mix of woods, fields, flowers, a river and cute indoor & outdoor spaces. The owners, Emily and Kyle are amazing! They and their staff were super helpful with the planning process and floral design and day-of they made sure everything went smoothly! This was a great venue for our laid back, outdoorsy wedding!

The perfect down to earth venue
We loved our experience working with the folks at Agate Acres leading up to our wedding and also on the day of. They offered a variety of ceremony locations, had great local vendor recommendations, and were accommodating to our vision. We also had some of our flowers for the wedding grown on site which was a lovely touch.

An Authentic Northwoods Farm Venue
We adore Agate Acres and cannot recommend this venue enough. Owners Kyle and Emily were helpful every step of the way, we couldn't have had our dream wedding without them. We are a couple that values supporting community and growing food locally. Agate Acres fit this mold perfectly. There is so much beauty on this land and areas to find serenity on this land. Immerse yourself in their century old barn, the field of flowers and veggies, take a moment by their cut of the river. If you are looking for an inclusive, welcoming, rustic venue, look no further.

Gorgeous Hippie Farm Venue
Agate Acres Farm & Events is an incredible wedding venue that I highly recommend! Their communication style is fast, friendly, and incredibly helpful - they were a joy to work with every step of the way. The quality of their work and the value they provide is truly timeless, free-spirited, and perfectly captures the essence of the northwoods. They provided a unique and stunning space for any special day, and are so kind and accommodating to all of the vendors we worked with. Agate Acres is deeply plugged into the local community and partners with so many small businesses in the area, which adds to the genuine, authentic feel of the venue. As a photographer, I can say that this is hands down one of my favorite spaces to capture weddings - the field, red barn, landscaping, and river running through the property make it an absolute dream location with endless potential.

They are a breath of fresh air in the wedding industry as they are so firmly rooted in community and the beautiful landscape they call home.
