About this venue

Celebrate in the wild at Bison Hall, a beautiful 6,000-square-foot barn-style venue at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Featuring soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, a moose antler chandelier, and large windows, Bison Hall offers a warm, rustic Alaska setting for weddings, celebrations, corporate gatherings, and special events of up to 150 guests. Year-round rentals include full-day use of the venue, tables and chairs, AV equipment, and admission to the wildlife sanctuary for your guests. Rentals also include up to 60 minutes at The Point, a scenic waterfront location with a gazebo, boardwalk, and stunning mountain views, perfect for ceremonies and photos. Optional wildlife presentations can make your event even wilder! Best of all, event proceeds directly support the care and conservation of Alaska’s wildlife.

Bison Hall

Alaska's Most Unique Venue

The perfect place to host any event from black tie to down home. Bison Hall is a beautiful barn-like building with a high vaulted ceiling that showcases wood beams, a moose antler chandelier, and large windows that allow natural light to flow in. Bison Hall is available for rent throughout the year.

A Bison Hall facility rental includes the use of the building for the entire day, admission into the center for all your guests, tables, chairs, garbage cans, 2 flat screen TV’s, portable speaker and microphone.

Room cost

Winter: $2,500 for 1-75 guests, $4,000 for 76-150 guests. Summer: $3,000 for 1-75 guests, and $4,500 for 76-150 guests

Elopement at The Point

Where the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center meets the waters of Turnagain Arm, one of the most scenic places in Alaska unfolds.

With wood bison and elk on one side and views of the water, mountains, and glaciers all around, AWCC offers a gazebo and boardwalk for family reunions and wedding couples to take breathtaking photos. If you rent Bison Hall then you can use the Point, with gazebo, for no extra charge for a maximum of 60 minutes.

    Employee Retreat

    Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center was wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were always quick to respond, helpful, and happy to answer any questions I had throughout the planning process. We rented their facility for our employee retreat, and it was absolutely stunning. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and successful event. There were plenty of restrooms inside the lodge, a large kitchen, and ample space to set out food and beverages for our group. The presentation equipment was also fantastic and incredibly easy to use. We utilized the TV, speakers, microphone, and podium, and everything was truly plug-and-play. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable enough for us to host a successful Microsoft Teams meeting without any issues. The entire experience was seamless, and the setting made our employee retreat feel extra special. I would highly recommend Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-equipped, and professionally managed event space!

    Working with AWCC as a wedding planner

    As a local wedding and event planner, we enjoy working at AWCC. The staff there is helpful and informative. They are willing to assist in making sure events run smoothly and have several items they can include in your rental of their spaces.
