About this venue
Big Sky Barn doesn't try to look understated. As a rustic wedding venue, it leans fully into its materials, warm reclaimed wood, sleek metal accents, and rugged stone, stacked together across 17 acres of Montgomery, Texas pine and hardwood until the whole property feels unmistakably rustic-chic. Guests can take a scenic detour across a covered bridge and wander beneath an ivy-covered pergola en route to the ceremony. Following the ceremony, cocktails are poured from a vintage truck repurposed as a bar. Cornhole and string lights keep the courtyard lively through golden hour, while vintage windows and reclaimed textures give every room a sense of history rather than staging. It's the kind of rustic wedding venue that photographs like it's been loved for decades, even on its very first booking, comfortably hosting up to 250 guests who want laid-back elegance with real, tactile character running through every corner of the property

The Chapel
Steeped in rustic charm and modern amenities
The chapel at Big Sky features more than 3,000 square feet of climate-controlled space – dedicated solely to your ceremony. The walls of the chapel are solid oak planks, handpainted on-site for an antiqued whitewashed appeal. Your ceremony will be backed by a 26-foot-tall wall of antique windows framed by oak beams, uniting the inside with the great outdoors. With architectural details around every corner, there is no shortage of photo opportunities here.

Anchored by the three-and-a-half-story, double-sided stone fireplace, the magnificent Grand Reception Hall is composed of large reclaimed timber beams, and oak, hemlock and pine boards sourced from old buildings, barns, and factories in the Northeastern United States. The steel windows, repurposed from a Carnegie Steel Building, complement the warmth of the wood for an eclectic mix of old-world charm and modern style.

Cheers to the newly weds
Sitting on 17 acres of land surrounded by backdrops of pines and hardwood, cocktail hour at Big Sky is breath taking. Guests can choose to play games of giant Jenga and Cornhole while drinks are served from our vintage bar truck, relax on our back patio and giant porch swing, or explore the nature rich grounds and gazebo. Venture back out to this area after sunset to take in the beauty of this serene landscape adorned in the glow of the twinkling string lights.

The Perfect Venue
Big Sky Barn was the perfect wedding venue! The staff was amazing from the time I first toured the location through every detail leading up to and on my big day! I had so many compliments on how beautiful things were. Our guests were taking pictures all over the property because there is literally awesome scenery on every inch of the place. Special thank you's go to Elly, Karli and Anna Kate for helping to coordinate the perfect, most memorable day for me and my husband!

Beautiful Venue
From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at Big Sky Barn, the team at Walters Wedding Estates has been prompt, kind, and incredibly helpful. Their communication was always clear and responsive, and they were very accommodating to the ideas and changes we wanted to make. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful - the space is airy and spacious, creating the perfect backdrop for our special day. Her bubbly personality, professionalism, and down to earth approach helped ease our minds about the whole wedding planning experience. Highly recommend her services! Andrea and Karli were our wedding planners/hosts. Our wedding planner was changed a few months before our big day, but they did a phenomenal job of picking up where we left off with the previous planner. BEST DAY
Andrea & Karli did a FABULOUS job!! The two of you went over and beyond & the wedding was AMAZING!!!! They made sure everything stayed on schedule (it was hard for me to remember since friends were pulling left & right for pictures) Even when my drink was watered down because I was talking instead of drinking, I was brought a new one!From the servers, to the bartender to the DJ. We enjoyed every single second & have not stopped talking about it! Sierra even made us a cheese plate with our last name initial on it. LOVED IT!!!!

I could go on and on about how beautiful this venue is. Every detail is thoughtfully curated and it is the perfect blend of rustic elegance. The over all theme is very romantic and inviting. Aside from the beauty of the venue, there is also a wonderful planning team that is with you every step of the way. From answering question after question, to helping with the smallest of details, I have had a wonderful experience with the Walters team.
