About this venue
Constructed in 1932, this vintage barn oversees 12+ acres of native grasslands – a rich habitat for wildflowers, birds and butterflies – and a historic farmhouse built in the 1750s by a second-generation Quaker farmer. The property is also home to Pinelands Preservation Alliance, whose mission is to protect the natural resources, history and culture of this unique region. In 2017, the Alliance transformed the barn into a great gathering place. The recently completed renovation brings contemporary comfort and energy efficiency to a setting that still retains its authentic character. For weddings and private celebrations, the “big red barn” opens onto beautiful outdoor spaces for garden ceremonies and cocktails, while the interior is scaled for dinner and dancing for as many as 175 guests.

Bishop Farmstead - A Dream Come True!
JAM Hospitality is unlike any other on the market! Not only are their venues gorgeous, but the people they employ are top notch! My husband and I were just married at Bishop Farmstead (Southampton NJ) and had the most amazing time start to finish. From the moment we started planning with our event coordinator Gina to the actual wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed experience. Even in a torrential downpour, Gina and her assistant Kayla made our day better than our dreams. We couldn’t be more grateful to JAM for taking care of us and our guests, especially as almost a third of them have dietary restrictions that were met with perfectly modified meals that left no one out of experiencing their amazing cooking. I will definitely be recommending JAM to anyone in the market for an affordable, magical wedding day with incredible staff who make the craziest parts seem like a breeze. Thank you so much for the most perfect wedding day!!!

Dreamy Wedding
We had a beautiful wedding at Bishop Farmstead through JAM Catering. We knew we loved the venue when we toured in March 2025, but I couldn't even imagine how gorgeous it would look fully dressed for our wedding in late August of 2026. If you're looking for a gardeny, outdoorsy, whimsical location, Bishop Farmstead is definitely the place. Between the food and the service, JAM is really top notch. Anecdotally, one of our harder to please guests even shared that this was the best food they've had at a wedding to date. But we knew the food was going to be excellent from our tasting, which was a total blast in and of itself. Side note: My husband also commented how on the ball the bartender were. I'd like to shout out our fabulous coordinator Gina and her assistant Kayla. Gina felt like working with your most organized friend. She was super communicative and kept our day as worry-free as possible. We decided upgrade to a package that allowed us to use more of Gina's time and I totally recommend spending the extra money on that. I told her my ideal day would involve no decision making, and she made that dream a reality. Unfortunately, there was a medical emergency right as our ceremony began (everyone ended up being okay, thank goodness!). And I have to give a huge thank you to the whole JAM team, but especially Kayla who was on the phone with 911 in no time at all. Multiple people told me how Kayla kept everything under control; we're lucky we had her! We truly had the best day ever, and had the dance party of our dreams. I can't recommend Gina, Kayla, JAM, and Bishops Farmstead enough. I wish we could get married all over again :)

The Perfect Venue
We couldn’t be happier that we made the decision to have our wedding at Bishop Farmstead. From start to finish, the JAM team and our coordinator Gina Borton made our wedding planning and day-of celebration as smooth as it could be. The team was extremely organized and we were given so much guidance along the way. The tasting event was so fun and one of the highlights of the process. The food from JAM is delicious, they use local ingredients and source from local vendors, and they were great with dietary restrictions. Bishop Farmstead is the perfect blend of rustic and elegant, capturing the natural beauty of the region while having all the amenities and comforts to accommodate a large party. Finally, we were so lucky to have Gina as our coordinator. She kept everything on track and made sure that we had the best experience on our wedding day. She was on top of every detail, handled snafus, and helped guide us so our schedule and pacing was perfect. We’ve heard amazing feedback from our guests, and are so grateful to the JAM team, Gina, and Bishop Farmstead for making the day so special!

Erika Was an Absolute Superstar!
I had the pleasure of working alongside Erika Borton and the JAM Hospitality team for Gina and Jonathan’s wedding at Bishop Farmstead. Erika was an absolute superstar from beginning to end and genuinely wonderful to work with. The day presented some major unexpected challenges, including a sudden, monsoon-like storm during the ceremony. Through it all, Erika remained calm, professional, and completely focused on the couple and their guests. She quickly mobilized her team with umbrellas, ensured everyone was safe and comfortable, communicated clearly with the vendors, and kept the celebration moving smoothly. Her attention to detail, flexibility, positive attitude, and ability to remain composed under pressure were incredibly impressive. As a wedding DJ and entertainment professional, I know how important a strong coordinator is, and Erika is exactly the person you want leading your wedding day. AMAZING DAY
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Bishop Farmstead for our wedding! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Gina was amazing and did such a fantastic job making sure everything ran smoothly. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made our entire day feel completely stress-free. Our wedding day went so smoothly, and we truly felt like we were able to relax and enjoy every moment because we knew everything was being taken care of. The venue was beautiful, the staff was wonderful, and every detail came together perfectly. We truly could not have asked for a better wedding day or a better person than Gina to help make it happen. We are so grateful and would highly recommend Bishop Farmstead to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue!
