About this venue

This building opened as a theater in August of 1937, serving the community until June of 1976. Following the theater closure, the space was transformed into other restaurants, recently, Burntwood Tavern. There is truly a lovely history attached to this building and provides a very unique space for hosting a special event that you can't find anywhere else. There are 2 separate spaces available to book, or, the restaurant in it's entirety.

The private event space at the Rocky River location (inside the former Beachcliff Theatre) can accommodate up to 40 guests for a seated meal or 50 guests for a cocktail-style reception.
While the venue is more commonly used for rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, and post-wedding brunches, intimate "elopement-style" ceremonies can be arranged within the private dining room. For large traditional weddings, it serves best as a reception or secondary event site.
