Cicala at the Divine Lorraine is a gorgeous fine dining Italian restaurant located in a Philadelphia landmark. With several indoor and outdoor spaces of the historic Hotel Divine Lorraine available for your big day, we can create the ceremony and reception that is perfect for you. Our romantic and gorgeous dining room and updated historic lobby space are perfect backdrops for your ceremony, while our "little sister" pizzeria, Sorellina, with its statement circular bar, is perfect for cocktail receptions and late night dancing. Featuring authentic Southern Italian cuisine from our award-winning Chef-owners, Joe & Angela Cicala, and wines hand picked by a notable Philadelphia sommelier Angelo Secolo, we can create the menu and beverage program for the evening that is unique to you. The Cicala family has been feeding loved ones for generations, and we would be honored to have you and your family join us for one of your most important meals.

Fine dining under the sparkling chandeliers in the historic Divine Lorraine.
Our striking main dining room can accommodate up to 130 guests for a seated event or 150 for a standing reception. This versatile space can be transformed for almost any layout and is a wonderful backdrop for a wedding ceremony, with an aisle set up under the golden chandeliers. A buyout of the space includes our main bar and lounge area featuring a historic wooden bar complete with premium Italian and local spirits.

Our pizzeria Sorellina features a huge circular bar in the center of the space, tons of natural light and a huge pizza oven. This unique space is perfect for a welcome drinks, cocktails receptions, casual brunches, and engagement parties and can accommodate up to 60 guests for a seated event and 100 for a standing reception. Wow your guests with limoncello spritzes and Neapolitan pizza straight from the oven.

A perfect Philadelphia wedding, thanks to Dawn
We had a full buyout of Cicala at the Divine Lorraine for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and it was everything we hoped for. Dawn deserves a special shoutout. She was organized, responsive, and calm from start to finish, handling our counts, linens, timeline, and vendor coordination so we didn't have to. On the day itself, we never worried about a thing. We couldn't have done it without her. The space is beautiful and intimate, the team brought our navy and terracotta vision to life, and service was seamless all night. The Perfect Intimate Wedding
We had our wedding at The Cicala and if you are looking for a beautiful intimate wedding filled with some of the best Italian food in the city paired with a stunning dining room, this is the place you go to remember your big day. The coordinator Dawn has the patience and decorum to deal with not only the hundreds of emails you will inevitably send her hoping to perfect your day but with the bumps in the road that arise in every wedding no matter where you go. Your day is her day and she will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy every moment of the day. The maître d' Peter will bring every ounce of Italian authenticity you would want to feel, and the Executive Chef and Owner Joe Cicala will serve you and your guests a meal you will wish you could taste 100 times over. While we dont have our professional photos back yet, the photos we do have can only offer a mere glimpse into what the Cicala family and Dawn can do to make your wedding perfect. We are forever in their debt for making sure that when we did our send off, and got in the car to leave, we looked at each other knowing we chose the right place- only wishing we could do it all over again.

We Love Cicala (and Dawn!)
We had our wedding at Cicala and couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. The space is so beautiful, and you can really feel the history of the building. It already has so much character that we really didn’t need to do much to make it feel special. The team was always on top of everything, the invoices were always right, and we never felt like we had to chase anyone down. The owners were also so welcoming to my mom and siblings, which meant a lot to us. By the end of the night, we even had the chef out on the dance floor with us, which pretty much sums up how fun and personal the whole experience felt. Dawn was also really great to work with throughout the planning process. She was *extremely* responsive, organized, and easy to communicate with. We also used several vendors from her recommended vendor list, and every single one of them was incredible. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to have our wedding and highly recommend Cicala to anyone looking for a venue that feels beautiful, unique, and actually personal.

Beautiful wedding venue and overall service
From the moment we chose Cicala at the Divine Lorraine, we knew the space itself would do most of the work. It is already so beautiful, iconic, and full of character that we did not want to overwhelm it with decorations. We kept everything simple with minimal florals and lots of candles, which made the restaurant feel even more intimate and romantic while still allowing the original charm of the space to shine. A huge part of what made the entire experience so wonderful was Dawn. She is truly a rockstar, and I honestly miss emailing with her about all of the wedding plans. She was incredibly responsive, patient with my many questions, and attentive to every small detail. After every conversation, I felt reassured that everything was being handled. On the wedding day, she and her team arranged all of the decorations we brought exactly how I had envisioned them, and somehow made everything look even better than I had pictured. The flexibility of the restaurant also made the day feel completely personal to us. We were able to customize the menu, and the family-style dinner was perfect for the warm, relaxed atmosphere we wanted. The food was incredible, and our guests are still talking about it. The entire staff made the wedding feel fun and effortless rather than overly formal or uptight. Everything flowed beautifully from the ceremony in the Divine Lorraine lobby, to cocktail hour in Sorellina, and then dinner in Cicala. Our guests loved being able to experience each of the spaces, and we received so many compliments about how beautiful and unique the entire evening felt. Weddings can naturally be a little chaotic, but I never felt like I had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. I truly felt taken care of, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day. It was everything we had hoped for, and I cannot recommend Cicala, Dawn, and the entire team enough for a wedding or any special event.

Unforgettable venue
Choosing Cicala as our wedding venue was the best decision we could have made. If feeding your guests an incredible meal is a priority for you like it was for us, you won’t regret hosting your event here. Our friends and family have been raving about the food and gorgeous atmosphere, and the friendly, hard working staff made our wedding a dream come true. Cicala is able to work with you to make your event uniquely yours, but at the same time, we’re delighted that our event was uniquely Cicala. Memorable is a guarantee. Their event coordinator, Dawn, was fabulous throughout the planning process and I was impressed with how she and the rest of the team at Cicala executed the plans day-off. They did everything they could to make sure that we could simply sit back and enjoy the occasion. Our only regret is forgetting to grab our doggy bag on the way out! Thank you, Cicala, and we’ll see you for dinner the next time we’re in town.
