It's Complicated
Fun fact: the venue hid my Google review, so that's cute. Touring & Booking: When we toured the venue, it was with a man and a venue manager-in-training named Lisa. The man was fine, but he was pretty dismissive when we asked about street parking for guests. There’s a U-Park lot next door, and the man confidently said they work with that lot “all the time” and could easily connect us. Lisa was wonderful, she gave extra tours for my parents, answered a ton of questions, and handled a long back-and-forth. However, I didn’t appreciate the classic “someone else is looking at your date” pressure tactic. It just stressed us out and wasn’t relevant to why our decision was taking time. We eventually signed. Yay! And then… radio silence. Planning Phase: EC Turnover Fiesta- Six months out, we were finally introduced to our event coordinator, Thaddeus. He sent us a lengthy questionnaire, which I filled out. Then, in our meeting, he proceeded to ask me every single question from that questionnaire—as if he hadn’t read it. The entire meeting was spent going over the same information. Annoying, but at least everything was covered thoroughly. Later, a friend told me we should have selected our linens at that meeting… but Thaddeus never brought it up. Then the silence started again. This time it felt worse, but I figured: okay, they’re the professionals. Three months out, someone completely new reaches out. Turns out Thaddeus was no longer with the company… and didn’t leave any notes on my wedding. We booked a meeting with this new coordinator, but on the day of the meeting I got an email saying they’d been hospitalized and couldn’t make it. Enter EC #3: Hailey Boop — and I cannot say enough good things about this girl. She came in READY to fix things. My wedding was less than three months away and the venue apparently had no notes, but Hailey responded quickly, made me feel prioritized, and handled every change I threw at her. She genuinely saved my planning experience. The Extra Hour Debacle: Originally, Thaddeus had offered us an extra hour at the start of our event for free to make up for the fact that Landmark actually did not have any relationship with the U-Park next door (meaning we were left scrambling for guest parking). Unfortunately, he only said this in person and left zero documentation. We had already printed invitations with an earlier start time… only for the venue to tell us they planned to charge us for that hour. Hailey went to bat for us and got it reinstated. The Wedding Day: Our wedding day itself went very well. I was nervous, but the venue delivered and the food was surprisingly good. I credit this to Hailey and my personal day-of coordinator. Warnings for Future Couples: Noise: There’s a concert venue that shares an alley with the Foundry. The alley is right beside the dinner room. During speeches, the concert noise was very noticeable. No AC: The Foundry does not have air conditioning. If you’re getting married in August, don’t let anyone tell you “it cools off at night.” It doesn’t. Overall: I’m thrilled the wedding day itself was beautiful, and I genuinely credit Hailey for pulling it together. This would have been a 1 star review from all the stress if it wasn't for her. But the planning process was rough. I can’t help but worry that if I’d ended up with anyone other than Hailey, we would’ve been nickel-and-dimed and left even more stressed.

Fremont Foundry Wedding Ceremony & Reception
The Foundry was the best wedding ceremony/venue spot. The deck is perfect for a ceremony on a nice day and the ballroom is ideal for dancing all night long. The Foundry team was amazing.

The venue itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, our experience leading up to and during our wedding was extremely disappointing. We reserved this venue two years in advance, and during our initial tour, before signing the contract, we were told that the property could accommodate up to 300 seated guests and that we would have approximately one hour for setup and one hour for teardown. As we got closer to our wedding, we learned that the space realistically accommodates closer to 150 seated guests, and our setup/teardown time had changed to approximately three hours for setup and one hour for teardown. These were significant differences from what was communicated to us when we booked. Another major issue was the noise situation. There is a nearby bar that plays live music during the day, and the venue has a noise ordinance that restricts outdoor sound. This meant that an outdoor ceremony taking place would not be heard while the neighboring venue was playing music. We were notified of this 7 months before the wedding. This was not disclosed to us during our initial tour, and it would have been important information to have when deciding whether the venue was appropriate for our wedding. The biggest issue, however, was communication and coordinator turnover. We experienced significant turnover with the onsite coordinator assigned to our wedding. When it was time to make our second payment, we received no clear update or payment portal and had to call repeatedly for a couple of months just to get an answer. We were repeatedly told things such as,“That’s a great question, I’ll email them again.” for us to not actually ever hear from anyone. It became extremely frustrating to have to continually follow up on payment portal access, for basic information and answers. The venue also scheduled planning meetings at the 12-,9-, 6-, and 3-month marks, but communication delays from Landmark resulted in us missing the first two meetings. Even when we were finally able to meet, including at the rehearsal, I repeatedly had to go over the same plans and details. There is no point in that many meetings to be relaying everything even the day before and continuously correcting their mistakes to what I had originally planned on our shared document. Despite doing so, some of the tables and other elements we had discussed for the ceremony were still not set up according to the plan on the wedding day. There were also issues with the bar service. We completely understand that the venue does not serve shots, and that was never an issue. However, our agreement was that guests could have drinks served on the rocks, yet throughout the evening guests were repeatedly denied this, even me as a bride. It took multiple complaints before this was addressed. We also decided on the Seattle dog vendor (offered through Landmark) to come in for an after dinner snack, where we were told the garage door would be open and the hotdog cart would be outside. No. They displayed hot dogs in a sheet pan that people then constructed and the garage door was never opened. I want to emphasize that we were not expecting perfection, and we had a relatively simple, bare-minimum wedding setup. However, when you are spending $50,000+ on a wedding, even on the lower end of what this venue offers, you expect clear communication, consistency, and for the plans you have repeatedly reviewed with the venue to actually be executed. When you’re paying 2$/slice of cake for each guest and even 2$ per dessert (which are ding dongs and eclaires), all the money grabbing and lack of execution only sets up for disappointment. The property itself is beautiful, but unfortunately, the lack of communication, coordinator turnover, inconsistent information, and execution issues created a great deal of unnecessary stress that even had my type B, blasé attitude frustrated. For us, the beautiful property was not enough to outweigh the amount of stress and frustration we experienced throughout the process.
Fremont Foundry by Landmark Event Co•Oct 8, 2026Thank you for sharing this and congratulations on your marriage. We're truly sorry that this was your experience. You deserved clear communication, a consistent point of contact, and a wedding day that matched your plans but that was not what we delivered. Your feedback about coordinator turnover, payment portal delays, missed planning meetings, and day-of execution has been shared with and discussed by our leadership team. We're taking it seriously as we improve how we support couples. We'd really like to speak with you directly. If you are willing to take the time, please contact Bartho at events@landmarkeventco.com. Had such a wonderful experience at this venue for a wedding I just went to. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, especially the rooftop! I also want to give a shout-out to one of the venue staff members, Tressa, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She went out of her way to help me tie my dress, and I really appreciated how thoughtful that was. Such a cool venue with great food and drinks, and genuinely nice staff. Would definitely recommend!
