Highland Oaks Weddings and Events (formerly Moonlit Farms) is a 36-acre wedding and event venue in Palmyra, Indiana, just 25 minutes from downtown Louisville. Say your vows under open sky with the woods and rolling hills of Southern Indiana behind you, then celebrate in our barn, where covered space keeps the party going rain or shine for up to 300 guests. Your rental day runs a full 12 hours and includes a one-hour rehearsal, table and chair setup and breakdown, and private getting-ready suites for both sides of the aisle. Bring the caterer you love. Our open catering policy welcomes any licensed caterer, and our in-house bar team pours for your guests. An on-site cottage is available for the night before or after, and our coordination packages can carry the details so your people just get to be guests. From intimate ceremonies to 300-guest celebrations, Highland Oaks is where Southern Indiana comes to celebrate.

Our white barn is the heart of Highland Oaks. Celebrate with up to 300 guests under its covered space, with the property's 36 acres of woods and rolling hills all around you. Setup is done by noon on your wedding day, tables and chairs are included, and the attached prep kitchen with cooler and freezer keeps your caterer happy. When the sun goes down, the lights come on and the dance floor takes over.

Bar Service

Description

All alcohol is served through our licensed in house bar, so there is nothing for you to haul in and no liability on you. Three ways to run it: an open bar at $25 per person, a custom tab you set that switches to a cash bar once it is spent, or a straight cash bar where guests pay. The price shown is the bartender service fee, $575 under 75 guests and $995 over 75, required with every bar option.

    Beautiful Woods Ceremony

    Highland Oaks Weddings and Events made our wedding day so fun and memorable. From start to finish, they were there for us with quick and efficient communication, especially through texting which made planning stress-free. The venue itself is gorgeous with its fresh, clean woods that created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Our peak season is April, May, and September through November. Spring blooms and fall color are when the property is at its most photogenic. Peak Saturdays are $5,995 and tend to book 12 to 18 months out, so reach out early for those dates.
Off-peak runs December through March and June through August. Same 36 acres, same 12-hour rental day, gentler rates. Off-peak Saturdays are $4,995 and weekday dates start at $1,900. Summer evenings and snow-dusted winter ceremonies both have their own kind of magic here.
All alcohol at Highland Oaks is served through our in-house bar program, so there is no outside alcohol. That keeps things simple, safe, and fully insured. Choose a Cash Bar, Open Bar, or Custom Bar Tab, poured by our bartending team. We're happy to walk you through packages and pricing during your tour.
Yes, free on-site parking for you and your guests, right on the property. No shuttles, no garages, no meters.
Accessibility matters to us. The grounds are mostly level and the barn and ceremony sites are reachable without stairs, and we'll gladly walk through the details of your guests' specific needs on a tour or a call so everyone is comfortable on the day.
