    From our first contact, the team at Hotel Blackhawk kept us in the loop with prompt responses and regular check-ins leading up to the big day. They were flexible when we wanted to tweak details and helped us get everything organized without any stress. The venue itself is truly elegant and upscale, with beautiful spaces that made our guests feel like they were part of something special. Their staff moved seamlessly throughout the event, making sure every detail came together perfectly.     Mother of the Bride

    My daughter and son in law had their wedding reception at the Gold Room in the Blackhawk Hotel. The hotel and the hotel service were excellent. Most of the guests were from out of town and were blown away at the beauty of this hotel. On wedding day, Sam and the staff helped us ALL DAY! She was incredibly attentive to our requests. Everything went off without a hitch and we were thrilled with The Blackhawk Hotel.

    Bush/Ganzer Wedding

    Sam at Hotel Blackhawk was absolutely incredible to work with throughout our wedding planning process! She was always extremely timely in responding to our questions, which made everything feel so much less stressful. She was professional, friendly, and genuinely kind in every interaction, and she went above and beyond to accommodate our requests/wishes to make the weekend so special and unique to us. The entire Hotel Blackhawk staff was also incredible—everyone we encountered was welcoming, attentive, and committed to making our wedding weekend seamless. We truly appreciated the exceptional service from the entire team - we highly recommend using Hotel Blackhawk & Sam for your next event!!!

    Everything was well planned and timing was great! The reception flowed very smoothly. Sam was delightful to work with from beginning to end! I highly recommend using The Blackhawk Gold Room for any event.

    Classic & Timeless....No Notes

    As a wedding photographer, every wedding I've photographed at The Blackhawk Hotel continues to impress me. The combination of historic charm, timeless architecture, and modern elegance makes it an incredible venue not only for couples, but for creating beautiful imagery throughout the entire wedding day. The staff is professional, organized, and genuinely cares about the experience they provide. From the getting ready spaces to the reception flow, everything feels seamless and well thought out. The ballroom photographs beautifully, and there are so many opportunities for stunning portraits both inside the hotel and around downtown Davenport. What really stands out is how accommodating and attentive the team is — they work incredibly well with vendors and truly want the couple to have an amazing experience. As a photographer, that makes a huge difference in how smoothly a wedding day runs. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that feels elegant, timeless, and elevated while still being warm and welcoming, The Blackhawk is absolutely one of the best venues in the Quad Cities.
