About this venue

Weddings nestled in a quiet corner of West Tisbury, the Ag Hall is the quintessential venue for your Island wedding. The Main Hall, made of vaulting post and beam construction, offers intimacy without crowding while also housing the Island’s best—and largest—dance floor. Slide open the central barn doors and the space is filled with the aura of surrounding trees and hayfield. A more intimate front hall complete with stone hearth can be staged to meet your whim. A commercial warming kitchen completes the package. The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society’s Agricultural Hall and property is available for select weddings annually.

    Ag Society is a special place

    We got married at Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society's Ag Hall and it was the best decision. Kris, the facilities contact, made everything simple—checking in before the event, making sure everything ran smoothly on the day, and following up afterwards to wrap things up. The building itself is stunning, especially at dusk when the lights come on and it feels almost magical. Beyond the beauty and history of the space, we loved that our dollars went toward supporting a nonprofit that has a positive impact to the Island community. If you're looking for a venue that's both gorgeous and meaningful, Ag Hall is the place. It's somewhere you'll keep coming back to for years to come.

    The Most Perfect Venue

    The Ag Hall is such a wonderful space for any event. We were married January 1, 2026 and filled the hall with Christmas trees for large banquet tables 3 bars, a band a Dj and more. The space felt cozy and truly stunning! The bathrooms are wonderful. The front hall and main hall can be used for your event. The kitchen is great truly an exceptional space. The communication with the team at the. ag Hall was clear effective and prompt. They left the space for us cleaned and ready for us to decorate.     Dream Come True Wedding

    We got married at Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society and it was the perfect choice for our 200-person wedding. The team communicated with us in a straightforward and efficient way throughout the planning process, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is stunning—the rustic setting and beautiful fields created such a charming backdrop for our day, and knowing the space has that rich history meant everything to me since I've loved this place since childhood. The venue can fit multiple bars, a big stage, and plenty of room on the property for a rain backup, which gave us confidence no matter what the weather did. The space truly made our wedding what it was, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to celebrate here. Highly recommend Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society to anyone looking for a venue that can handle a large celebration with style and substance.

    I had an amazing wedding at the Ag Hall!

    I was raised on the island and my husband came when he was a teenager. When we got engaged we looked at a few places to get married and the Agricultural Hall came up. As year rounders this was a known and beautiful hall to us. My husband and I from the day we started dating went to the fair every year no matter what. It was a summer must do so getting married here seemed like a dream. We were lucky enough to secure a date in 2026 for our wedding. The biggest reason we picked the Ag Hall is it gives you the possibility to do indoor and outdoors to plan for any weather that might come that day. On our wedding day of course it poured and we had 55 mph winds. With the quick thinking of my amazing planner the wedding was quickly converted to a tented ceremony and indoor cocktail hour with no issues. This hall also gives you the chance to have pretty much any sized wedding, the hall has so much space to hold hundreds of people for a seated dinner. We had 120 and it was amazing. Plenty of room for the DJ, dancing, desert tables and everything in between. With the support of the amazing Agricultural Hall staff and my amazing planner and vendors we were able to have the most amazing day and party no matter the circumstances. If you are looking for a venue to hold your wedding that gives you a quite barn vibes I definitely recommend the Agricultural hall. The big beautiful barn doors help open the space to have an amazing wedding day. We loved every second of our day thank to our amazing vendors and Venue!

The Front Hall accommodates up to 310 guests for standing events, 221 guests for chair-only seating, and 100 guests for setup with tables and chairs.
The Main Hall accommodates up to 1,344 guests for standing events, 960 guests for chair-only seating, and 333 guests for setup with tables and chairs.
Yes, you can bring your own alcohol.
Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable.
Your booking includes setup the day before the ceremony and breakdown the day after. Additional time needs may be discussed.
Yes, you will need to get event insurance and provide a certificate.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances.
Yes, we can accomadate up to 80 cars in our front parking lot and 300 in the rear lots.
Our rental fee is for the raw venue. There are some very basic folding plastic tables, metal folding chairs, a projector, a PA system and a stage available by request at no extra fee.
