About this venue

Bonnie and Mike are passionate about hosting events. Together, they can make any wedding or event memorable for all the guests. Bonnie's friends and family always expect a spectacular event every time Bonnie throws a party…Their 2018 wedding is a testimony to that. When not hosting events, they like to travel together (Rome and Paris for their honeymoon), go to events, see movies and play with their dogs . She likes to do crafts, he is a veteran who loves to golf. Together, they make a very easy going couple that really enjoys life and sharing it with others.

We offer a large outdoor tent with concrete floor setting, with lush green lawns.

Located in the pristine meadows of Mount Rainier, just outside the small quaint town of Orting (near Puyallup). We offer a large outdoor tent with concrete floor setting, with lush green lawns. surrounded by old growth trees. The 9.4 acres of meadows including pond, wooded area, creek, access to the river, multiple ceremony sites and other features make for great picture locations. We also include a separate bride and groom suites with private courtyards for the bridal party to get ready in, as well as outdoor flushing restrooms.

    Smooth preparation, disappointing wedding day

    The highlights of this venue is that it is beautiful and having a selection of items we can borrow for our wedding day was very helpful. However, those would be the end of the highlights. I would recommend to be planning ahead if you want communication from Bonnie or her husband as I would have to send text and email communications prior to receiving a response. Thankfully, nothing was ever urgent, but I wanted to share as a warning in case anyone gets overwhelmed or procrastinates with wedding planning. My main issue that unfortunately made this be a mediocre experience is what occurred on my wedding day. Per our contract there was nothing that stated I could not have lit candles at our reception. We had a microwedding, thirty guests with light drinking - no one was drunk or at risk of being a rowdy guest. Multiple of my guests share they felt uncomfortable and harassed by Bonnie's husband who came strolling in between the tables, pointing and stating, "that's a liability" or "we can't have that". Per our contract, if an issue arose, Bonnie or her husband were to approach our designated contact discretely and have the situation handled, if it wasn't then the bride and groom should be spoken to. The fact that my guests were spoken to as if they were being negligent was disheartening. Furthermore, we had the venue until 8pm and promptly at 7pm, Bonnie and her husband stood at the side of the reception tent, arms crossed and staring into our wedding. I was approached by our photographer and multiple of our guests raising concern and stating if they should leave. Because of their presence my guests decided to leave early. We understood our timeline and had an appropriate plan as to who would lead cleaning up but because they appeared unannounced and again, not speaking to anyone except to run around asking where their borrowed items were as if we were doing something wrong, this was a terrible way to end my wedding day. They also ended up sitting at some point watching us clean up. This was not communicated that they planned to oversee clean up nor was it communicated as an offering for their help as I was told numerous times I would be responsible for all setup and cleanup. Lastly, during the check of the suites, Bonnie came out in a hurry raising her voice saying "they shattered a table! A table is shattered". We take great care of our home and wherever we are as guests. My husband checked and nothing was shattered, there apparently was a wobbly basic wood end table in the suite. Again, my husband and I along with our friends and families do not drink very often and this was a microwedding with limited time to be at the venue. The fact that the table was intact but a little loose without clear evidence if it was already in this state was a dramatic overstatement that no couple on their wedding day wants to endure. This could have been handled more professionally. By the end, I was vastly disappointed in utilizing this venue. I've worked in customer service for many years, and I am sure they have had guests that did not always treat their property well, but I felt like they assumed we were an issue the entire time and it completely changed my view on this venue.

    Wedding venue

    Monarch Meadows Venue has a beautiful space with lovely bridal and groom suites that made getting ready enjoyable. However, the staff's communication style was blunt and made us feel belittled throughout the planning process. They micromanaged nearly every detail and said no to requests even when we offered to handle the cleanup ourselves. This rigid approach added unnecessary stress to our wedding day and made it harder to relax and enjoy the moment. The venue itself is stunning, but the experience was overshadowed by how we were treated. If you book here, be prepared for a controlling planning process.

    Wonderful Experience

    From the moment we first connected with the team at Monarch Meadows Venue, we were impressed by their honest, assertive, and kind communication style. They were so helpful in guiding us through the process and truly wanted to ensure our special day was everything we dreamed of. The venue itself is a beautiful, spacious, and nature-filled blank slate that allowed us to make the space our own. We loved that they provided a thoughtful list of items we could borrow to decorate, and the fact that they welcomed us to visit multiple times to get a feel for the place. It was clear the team at Monarch Meadows Venue are not just in it for the money, but because they genuinely love love and want to help couples like us make their wedding day truly unforgettable. We are so grateful for their open, beautiful, and valuable contribution to our special day.
