Jacob’s Hall is a modern, light-filled wedding venue at MCASD with floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning ocean views

Jacob’s Hall is a stunning multipurpose event space with soaring 23-foot wooden ceilings and a dramatic west wall of floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing unobstructed views of the San Diego coastline. The adjoining terraces create a seamless indoor–outdoor experience, allowing guests to move easily between spaces while enjoying ocean air, natural light, and effortless flow throughout the event.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

Event rentals are based on a 5-hour time frame, with 2 hours for setup and 1 hours for breakdown. If additional time is needed for setup or breakdown, additional fees may apply. Events taking place in the areas that are open to the public while the museum is open may start one hour after closing, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Events using spaces that are not open to the public during museum hours may start anytime.
5 hours of celebration, 2 hours for setup, and 1 hour for breakdown • Staffing, which includes Security, a Venue Specialist, and porter service during your event • Complimentary one-year museum membership for the married couple • Ten percent discount at The Shop at MCASD for wedding party gifts • Access to MCASD approved areas for photos any time before, during, or after the wedding • One hour rehearsal/walkthrough during Museum open hours of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Thursday through Sunday (If a full court rehearsal is required, that will be considered an additional rental)
In house basic Sound / Presentation and Projection are available in some spaces and can be run by the Museum Venue Specialist during your event. Any additional sound or AV needs can be brought in by the vendor of your choice.
The Museum does not supply rental furniture. The client will work with their own event planner or rental company for all furniture and décor items.
Bark, seed pods, fruit, and pollen-bearing plants may not be used for decorations. Only flowers and plants obtained from a commercial or retail florist or greenhouse may be used in the venue. Décor materials not permitted include moss, wood, dirt, sand, leaves, hay, logs, bones, all food items (such as seeds, berries and fruit) and confetti. Certain flowers with excessive pollen or strong odors should be avoided. All candles must be enclosed in glass hurricanes or votive holders to the height of the flame. Ice sculptures, chocolate fountains, fog machines and steamers are not allowed. Sparklers, rose petals, or balloons are also prohibited
