Welcome to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum. If you are looking for the perfect venue to host your wedding, you have found it. Let us make your dreams come true! Nestled in Heritage Hills, the first Historic Preservation District in the State of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum is an iconic venue that provides the ideal location for your wedding. Close proximity to both midtown and downtown allows easy access to popular hotels and restaurants. Our venue combines historic charm with modern elegance to provide an impeccable setting for your special day. We combine the grandeur of a historical landmark with the modern amenities. The Mid-Continent Life insurance building was completed 1927 and built in the Neo-Classical style by famed architect Solomon Layton. Today, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features original craftmanship.

The Bennett-McClendon Great Hall, located on the fourth floor, is the building's largest indoor event space. The Great Hall has been updated with modern conveniences for a beautiful and functional reception, including space for a dance floor and live entertainment. The wraparound windows provide natural light and beautiful views of downtown Oklahoma City.

We have three catering partners. Whichever catering partner you choose will handle all food and beverage, including bar service. The caterer will purchase the alcohol, provide bartenders and purchase the liquor license.
Yes, we have 125 parking spots, including 5 handicap spots.
Yes, we have an elevator, our building is wheelchair accessible.
Rates are partially tax deductible as payment is considered a donation to a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The price includes use of our venue, tables and chairs for up to 250 people for all indoor spaces plus the garden, as well as related set-up and strike of tables and chairs. For weddings, we also provide onsite wedding party suites and a 1-hour photo shoot to be used for engagement or bridal portraits.
Once you’ve decided to host your event with us, our events team will gather details needed to create your contract. You will be emailed a contract for review. Contracts must be signed electronically and the deposit paid within 30 days. After 30 days, your desired date may be released to another potential client.
We do not provide table linens, but please reach out to one of our catering partners or any other third-party rentals vendor for rental information.
We set tables and chairs, and we tear it down at the end of the night. We charge based on how many spaces you use. For a reception only wedding with more than 100 guests it's $5,750. To rent a dance floor is an additional $500.
The Will Rogers World Airport is located 10 miles away from the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. We are located a few blocks away from downtown Oklahoma City and there are many restaurants, hotels and other attractions close by.
The Gaylord-Pickens museum closes at 2 p.m. on Saturday. You have access to all your contracted spaces starting at 2 p.m., however you have the option to access your reception space starting at 12 p.m. for a fee of $500. Indoor receptions end as late as 11 p.m. and outdoor receptions end at 10 p.m. due to OKC noise ordinance. There is an hour after your end time for your vendors to load out and for clean-up.
Yes, you are required to purchase wedding insurance.
